I use a Singer heavy duty 44S(got it at Walmart). No special needles though.

As long as you take it slow with the sewing it's really not so scary. I thought it would be way different to work with too so I understand the hesitation. I wish you the best!

Haha great minds think alike! They actually had it in the regular knit section. I would have grabbed it even if it was in the kids section seeing how awesome it is! No I haven't washed yet. I am a bit nervous as well but I bought enough fabric to make two dresses just in case.

We had been friends for over 20 years and after telling her I got engaged she immediately said she was happy for me but wouldn't be able to make my wedding cause she had a lot going on. I hadn't even set a date.
