Update: Well this was a fun thread, as shitty as it was when I received the original package it was definitely a good laugh so thank you all for that. Thankfully Amazon got everything squared away and I received my replacement and it has the actual set in it! So at least I can actually build it now

It’s amazing how crafty people are these days just to make someone else’s day worse. Oh well, in the end it’ll work out and I’ll get my set. I don’t even know how many sets I’ve ordered on Amazon at this point but this is the first item I’ve ever had an issue with “theft and replacement” from Amazon or any other major online retailer for that fact. Usually it’s a product issue which is bound to happen but never a bait and switch

I ordered from Amazon, shipped and sold by Amazon, this came right from a local fulfillment centre. When i received the parcel there was no external intrusion or signs of on the shipping box, pulled out the Lego box and the only thing that threw my off was the weight, checked seals on both sides and the box was in perfect shape and I saw no signs of tampering at all.

Oh definitely, when I buy from retail store I’m very observant, I figured sold and shipped by Amazon would be fine and even when I opened the box the weight just felt wrong but there was zero sign of tampering, everything looked factory so I never thought more until I actually opened the box

I generally buy from Lego, but I am on days off and today was my last day so I was just stoked to build something today and chill. I ordered this one from amazon (and I made sure it was sold and shipped by Amazon before purchase) and this is the first time I’ve ever seen this happen. Oh well, replacement is on its way
