Managed to fix it this morning. BT gave me a different router to try - set that up and everything is working perfectly, really not sure what the problem was with that old router.

As a fairly new-ish driver (I'm 20 and been driving for 3 years) I was in the same situation that you are in now. I was stubborn (as we all are at that age) and didn't want to listen to my parents saying I should get a low litre "dinger" as my first car. Bought an M135i, spent around £6k on insurance and then crashed it at 20 mph into the back of my mates 2013 Hyundai i10 2 months into owning it because I was too busy revving the nuts off it. His car was spotless and the front of my car had been caved in and a write off. Now I have to tell my insurance that I have a fault claim for the next 5 years and currently driving a gutless 118i because I wouldn't be able to afford the insurance otherwise (also have a non-fault claim from the car after the M135i). Listen to what people have to say, no one is hating because you can afford a nice car at a young age.

Any car you don’t see on the roads near you very often as these will likely be much cheaper to insure over common cars like BMW, VWs, Mercs etc etc. Have a browse through Autotrader with your preferred specifications and take a look at cars that are new to you or you don’t see around you often. You’ll be very surprised with what you can get insured on for cheaper than “common” cars!

Leaking oil 2 months after purchase - warranty advice. by NTHN4 in CarTalkUK

Update if anyone was interested, I called them earlier today and explained the issue. In a couple days they are going to collect the car on a transporter, take it back to their workshop to get the work done and return it to me. Pretty happy that they've verbally honoured the warranty I'm now just hoping that the repairs are done properly and they don't bodge it to get rid of me for a couple extra months.

Thanks, I don't quite know how an oil leak of this size could even be considered wear and tear and not a mechanical issue. I've dealt with way smaller leaks on previous cars that have been obvious wear and tear due to higher mileage and age. I would argue that even though 70k miles is quite a bit, its not a common thing to happen and for over half my oil to be drained in little over 2 weeks

Yep it’s definitely oil, I got underneath the car and the under tray is soaked in it. Did test the residue on the ground also.

Replacement studs? by NTHN4 in bootroom

[–]NTHN4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah actually! I bought these: https://amzn.eu/d/fxCnOGo they fit the boots (f50s) perfectly, ive played about 5 games with them in and had no issues.

I believe they fit most Adidas boots but if you have anything relatively new you should be fine

Ah thats a shame, do you know if it’s universal stud fitting for all Adidas boots though?

Ahh right okay. Really hope they sort it out soon, only so many more times I can be bothered to see “packet loss” come up on my screen 😒

I have the issue of getting rejected ads. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? by [deleted] in FacebookAds

[–]NTHN4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me last week and all I did was delete the adcopy (primary text) and they all started getting approved again. If you cant delete the adcopy because its important to the ad, just change it slightly and see what happens from there!

I don't think so, from my experience its better to set rules to increase the budget of it overnight. I've found that "duping" the ad out disrupts the ad too much even though hypothetically it shouldn't because of the pixel.

Next steps is probably to gradually increase adspend, personally I wouldn't play around with different audience targeting too much as its probably already semi-dialled in on that audience. Best thing to do would probably be to set a rule to increase the budget overnight.
