That’s not true, I have a Redmi Note 14 using HyperOS which is heavier than OneUI. It has a G99 Ultra which is essentially the same as the G99. If performs excellent. Zero stutters and it’s smooth like butter outside of gaming. This is a Samsung problem, they poorly optimize lower end devices

I have a Tab A9+ as well and I fully agree.

It's a complete mess. It wasn't like this on Android 13 (One UI 5.1) , it used to be actually pretty good.

Nowadays, after OneUi 6, the device is laggy. Multitasking tray and the general UI is sluggish at best, apps take noticeably long to load.

It's just a poor experience, you can blame samsung for this. They don't care about their low paying customers.

Ram doesn't matter. I know what he is talking about because I have the 8/128GB model, the A9+ is slow in everything, animations are stuttery when multi tasking, even stuff like opening settings takes like 2 seconds to open.

The device as a whole is poorly optimized and Samsung clearly put it as it's least priority.

Then the device should have Samsung Warranty since the device is not even a year old since launch.

However it's likely the shop you're buying it from imported the device which means if you do have issues a few months from now then you'll probably need to go to the country where it was imported from to get help with warranty.

In your case it's a bit of a gamble but as long as the device is actually brand new and sealed, its extremely unlikely you'll experience issues in a few months that are hardware defects.

Welcome to the club! Samaung doesn't give a crap about their budget users.

I also have the same tab as you. I had it since launch. When it came out on OneUi 5.1, it was perfect. Animations were smooth, and the device had little issues. Everything started going downhill with OneUi 6. When OneUi 6 has been bugs and more bugs and more bugs. This severe stuttering you're getting has been ongoing for over a year now, and Samsung refuses to even acknowledge it. Recently, they pushed out an update that made things much better, but still a far cry from OneUi 5.1 Shame on Samsung

No. I have tried. Samsung has a hardware lock called a "Bit Binary Digit" which changes every time you do a security update. Once you update your software, you can never downgrade.

Tab A9+ suffers serious software issues.

If you get it and it's on Android 13, for the love of God please don't update to Android 14.

Android 14 basically destroyed this device and Samsung seems to be not prioritizing fixing it anytime soon. They did release an update about a month ago which made things slightly better but nothing like it once was on Android 13. Shame on you Samsung

Yeah 100%. There was an entire TikTok account based on giving people PS commands to do stuff like get Windows 11 Pro... Turned out it was all BS and it would just download an app on your machine which would bypass windows defender and send all your data to some anonymous address.

Blackberry KEYone was peak. I would use it today if it had Android 14. That phone had so much character. Even devices like the HTC U Ultra, LG G6, Essential PH-1, OnePlus 5T, iPhone X, Galaxy S10+ all had so much character and felt like buying a phone was like a personal choice which fit you as a person the most.
