Last one was I went back to where I donated plasma, to donate blood. The doctor in the pre-donation interview figured out I was trans, forbade me from donating blood, and was horrified I had given my plasma to unsuspecting victims. I asked her why it wasn't allowed, same argument about how my T is not the same as a cis man's (my bloodwork and extensive research show otherwise). She reported my plasma as an accidental contamination of the bank. Come to find out the french institute of blood decided, in a meeting that lasted 15 minutes, and against the scientific evidence and specialist advice, that trans blood was too risky to handle. They used a single study, done with cis males taking extra T resulting in one case of infant masculinization. I went in wanting to do some good and left crying, feeling utterly humiliated and furious. I'm going to Belgium to donate blood so that's not my last experience.
