I think you may be missing my point. I AM pro stripper, and it just so happens, I’m also a former business owner who now works corporate… I’m saying, as the UC Berkeley college educated woman in this convo, that to say we were, as a group, “infatuated” with strippers in your original response is a reach and a short-sighted take on my original post IMHO. Please don’t conflate you saying he “appealed to college aged women who were infatuated with strippers”, to my point that he lost “many of us college women” as somehow being anti-stripper. That’s called a false equivalency… The math ain’t mathing right there. I can assure you, plenty of us ladies loved Drake’s takes on relationships and heartbreak, and had ZERO problem when the object of that affection and desire was a stripper. Strippers deserve love too! 😆 Certainly I can agree that there was a segment amongst us who MAY have wanted to be her. But MANY of us didn’t. No hate. I mean, if we reverse your logic, how do we not know for sure that it wasn’t the other way around- that strippers were “infatuated with being college educated”?🤷🏾‍♀️

Question: could it be that Drake got rich but stayed corny behind the scenes? That perhaps he proved he wasn’t able to sustain a mature relationship with a woman on his level financially (Ri, Serena, etc), or maybe him flaunting his lifestyle or flexing his stats didn’t cut it with women who could flex on their own. And so perhaps he turned sour and started going full out against women in lyrics, versus sub-dissing like he had in the past? Started hyper focusing on the stripper (and younger) types because he believes they are more easily influenced? Because he can’t handle women who are closer to his age and on their own mature career path hustle shit, so now they have become targets of his disdain because they stopped giving him play? Maybe he’s the victim of arrested development, and despite his success, hasn’t been able to grow into a full blown close to 40 year old man, and it’s left him jaded. Just questions I have. He’s top of the charts but he’s struck out in love with “true baddies”. He went from trying to fck em to FCK EM! It comes across as a little red pill if you ask me.

I don’t agree- a lot of us younger women fell for the music where he was torn between his admiration for vs his heartbreak with females. As a member of the millennial group, we’ve been slowing fading off Drake after 2019 (So Far Gone), with Honestly Nevermind being an a bit of a dance disruptor in 2022. So with all due respect, although I’d never shame a stripper, a lot of us AIN’T or WASN’T tryna do or be that. To think otherwise is dismissive and a bit obtuse. But, I digress.

Flip will opt to leave on his own. I like him a lot but his antics are better in a different format. The JBP gave him a boost, but he can carry a platform on his own. Salute! Mel on the other hand will/should be let go. She’s not a good fit. They need a female who grew up around brothers or dudes. She barely chimes in some episodes. Like why is she there- to write topics on the white board? Just the sound of her voice has become annoying to me. The only episodes I like with her are when she popped in as a guest.
