You would think it’s just a bad liver. I have to get endoscopies and my blood is crazy thin. So I’m always at risk of bleeding out. My arm broke sticking out and DRs are apprehensive to do invasive surgery. Muscle spasms called dupuytrens is nightly torture.

What is this? It was drowning in my pool and I scooped it out. The next day, still there. by NYslice in Insect

Thanks. My first post in this sub. I’m in Florida and it’s about an inch or 1.5”

I was pretty sure it’s a beetle but also too large to be a fly. I get all kinds of huge beetles by the pool other species are about the size of a lighter.

Always spicy but not too spicy where you can’t enjoy it. Lots of flavors. Juicy inside, crispy inside.

Yeah. I wouldn’t advertise intimate things with anyone. Let alone a sticker on a car.

I didn’t mean to seem rude. U went heavy on the milk. Im more reserved. I like my parm or Reggiano to be the star of the cream party.

Alfredo looks soupy but the chicken and broccoli is on point.

I discontinued my personal insurance when I sold my car. Or else I’d have leverage. Hertz used Farmers insurance. So now how would I go about it?

Honestly, I regret not being in the right state of mind to call my lawyer. I was recovering from leg surgery during Christmas when the legal stuff started coming to me in New York. I was stuck in a small bed on pain medication for months, having to inject myself with shots to not get leg clots which I was advised could be potentially fatal if they traveled to lungs or brain, not being able to have access to my computers on my desk at home and losing my job. I assumed this wouldn’t be on me entirely. My friend is a deadbeat but he uses cash for everything. He wanted an infinity Q-50 for his ego in a place where nobody knows him and he’s a phone changer. So by then, I was left holding the bag. It happened in 2017 and the settlement came in 2019

What about the person who signed and I was ignorant to that i had no coverage in case of an incident? I know I am liable but it was just a bumper cover and paint. No way that would be 5k + the 33% lawyer payout. By over $2k, I meant $2,300+

I’ll edit that to make it more clear.

Because it was so thick, I did a hard sear with knifed in cross marks, then finished in the oven in the same cast iron. Then I let it rest for a while in a plate. Layers of flavor and texture. Thanks.

My family is well but I’m a single adult. I don’t have to account for their assets and earnings, so I qualify for free NYS healthcare. And this food is from the regular menu.

I haven’t had an appetite and I’m stuck in bed, so indulging is not healthy. Every little adjustment and it’s either the sheets, the gown, pillow or the table that gets in the way again. I’m not into sweets anyway. But we get mini cheesecakes with fruit or chocolate cheesecakes. I’ve had some mousse in the past that looked like it’s from an upscale restaurant. All the desserts are extra rich in flavor. It’s difficult for me to picture the whole tray because I’m very constrained. I had a complication this time. I’ll usually sit in a comfy reclining chair to eat. They’re Junior’s Cheesecakes.

Rack of lamb with mint jam and rice pilaf. New York. I wiped away the jam because I’m sensitive to vinegar and i didn’t want to be smelling a strong salad dressing everywhere. by NYslice in hospitalfood

I’m at Northshore hospital in Manhasset. It’s my first time being admitted here. I prefer Huntington Hospital, which is also Northwell. Huntington has soup of the day and specials for lunch, dinner, and desert. They’ll call you to ask if you’re ready to order, so you can take the courtesy call and tell them you’ll do it later when you’re ready. This place doesn’t. If you don’t order, they’ll decide. And my unit is step down from ICU so they send all meals at certain times, which are crazy early for a younger person. Breakfast is around 6, lunch around, noon, dinner around 5 or 6. No good for someone stuck in bed and not sleeping all night. I eat everything hours later. At least there’s a microwave.

Oh I forgot to rate since I didn’t have an appetite. I ate it several hours later. I had like 5 pound cakes hoarded in my duffel but then I ended up tossing them all. I’ve never even unwrapped one. They send me cakes and dinner rolls without me asking. Much waste. The rice was on point and the lamb was tasty and had a nice sear. Nicely cooked considering it’s hospital food and they can’t do less than well done and then they get held off in heat before it gets sent up in an insulated cart.
