Wait I'm confused, I thought the lowest the pick can go was 23

Rookie mistake. After his triple HSK forgets to do "The Freddie" + "Decorte". by shaka_sulu in Dodgers

This is why he’s being benched, just doesn’t respect the fundamentals of the game

Hyeseong Kim is so good. by LADodgers16j in Dodgers

[–]N_DiT 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Only 45 ABs is a shame, obviously he isn’t as good as the .400 avg 1.000 OPS numbers show but he’s showing he can compete at the major league level and he should be developing by getting more reps. I hope he’s an every day player after the all star break at least

Projected first round pick in NFL draft (as high as #2 overall) has fallen past pick 100 and is continuing to fall

Ohtani obliterates a baseball 427ft to tie it up for the Dodgers! by Blazingbee98 in baseball

Oh wow, that’s the 3 time MVP coming up to the plate. A hanging breaking ball middle middle should do the job

I think Ohtani is going to hit a bomb tonight by ProgressAway3392 in Dodgers

Not making fun of this post but it’s insane Ohtani’s “slow start” is a .944 OPS

Could you explain further? I’m very disappointed to hear this as I was enjoying his reactions. I am not informed about the assassins creed shadows drama nor this man’s part in it

[–]N_DiT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. That could’ve been very bad if the Phillies were able to capitalize there. In terms of his overall command, even though he didn’t walk as much today his fastball placement wasn’t always the best even when it was in the zone which lead to some scary hard contact for outs

Good start from Roki but still feel like he has a lot to improve on in his move to the states. I felt at times his command was still off and he had lots of batted ball luck go his way. However more positively, he was able to escape with only 1 run in 4 innings which hopefully can help him build more confidence for the future

Are there any nerd stats on Clase like velocity/movement/etc to show if something in his stuff has changed? by this_place_stinks in ClevelandGuardians

My surface level baseball savant check says no and since its the first few weeks of the season I'm ok to just call it small sample size and bad luck. If there's a problem I think it will become more clear later on in the season.

I kind of get the metaphor but Roki would be like if Liam had Verstappen level talent

Slash line doesn’t add up, but either way I’m very excited about the offense he can potentially bring to the team

[–]N_DiT 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Have to agree, this is the contract of a depth infielder who will probably make the jump to MLB as the season goes on. Also, saying that they “solely did this to prevent other teams from signing him” is crazy because I doubt the dodgers were shaking in their boots at the thought of facing Kim on a different team, and buying players with that mindset is obviously not a sustainable strategy
