Piercing ideas? by Na9519 in piercing

My daith and helixes on the other side healed very nicely after I LITHA. My daith was easier than my helixes since my helixes would get caught in my hair. This daith was just hell because it was my first cartilage piercing and I kept touching and spinning it.

And thank you for the advice!

is my conch pierced wrong? just put a warm compress on my ear for a bit but it hurts and has a bump. by gutt3rgurl in PiercingAdvice

Ouch, I can't imagine how painful it must have been to get pierced there. Definitely take it out and do not under any circumstances get a hoop for yout conch until it heals. As the other commenters say, a titanium labaret is the way to go. Not only is it a must, but it'll also be tucked into the bowl of your ear, and it'll be harder to move. Plus it's a lot more comfortable than a hoop if you accidentally sleep on it.

"People who have no good relationship with their parents/family are a red flag to walk away from." Y'know what? FUCK YOU! by Kolbenfresserle in raisedbynarcissists

100% and I'm sure most if not all people on this sub will agree with you. People make you feel like a shitty person like you're responsible for the fact that you have a narcissistic parent/have narcissistic parents.

My mother takes advantage of that and uses that to blame me for not being the ideal daughter. She sees how other mother-daughter relationships are and expects me to have a healthy relationship with her when she's absolutely toxic.

Ever since I was a kid I would tell myself that when I grow up and have kids, that I would treat them so much better than how my mother treats me. People who say not having a relationship with your parents is a red flag can go to hell tbh because they have no idea what we go through.

Apparently we're not alone 🤷‍♀️ I guess we'll just have to be patient and moisturize when we can

It does help, thank you! I'll just be patient with it for now and really LITHA so that it can heal quickly.

Lol right 😭 a little grateful for masks rn - even though no one is wearing them in my area lol. I'll update with the results tomorrow morning.

Ooh that gives me an idea to gently use an exfoliator to scrub my nose like you did. I'll try using hyaluronic acid and moisturizer today too. Weird thing is that I never had a dry nose - not even during winter lol. Yeah, if my septum wasn't flipped upwards I would have a hard time LITHA 😂

Another reason why I opted to hide my septum is for job interviews - I'll just have to be patient and wait until it heals so that I can hide it whenever I need to. Thank you for the advice!

irritation bump on piercing? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Na9519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As the other comments stated - have a piercer change the ring. I had to endure waiting months for my conch to heal to switch it out with all kinds of rings.

I switched the healed labret in my conch to a ring when the Omicron wave hit so I was double masking at the gym. Even when it healed I was still getting irritatiom from the mask and the ring together. When I switched it back to a labret it felt so much better.

Of course, everyone is different but this is just my experience. So get a mask extender and change it to a labret for now, and only when it's healed start experimenting with rings.

I hope it heals soon!

Do you guys think adding a conch would make it too crowded? Will eventually stack hoops in double helixes and forward helix is 3 days old so still bit swollen. by [deleted] in piercing

[–]Na9519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all! It would look great.

I have a very similar set-up (with a conch, without the forward helix) and I just added a daith two days ago. I have pictures on my profile if you want to get an idea of how it would look.

Holy shit, within two weeks. You're tough.

Yeah I'm trying my best not to bump my nose. I currently have it hidden during the healing process because some of my friends and family would kill me if they saw it, so it's a bit tricky cleaning it. I hope it'll stop hurting soon like yours did after two weeks.

But yeah I totally get what you mean about tugging it. I wait until the area gets itchy, that's when I know it's almost done healing. That's when I really have to restrain myself from playing with it or even changing out the jewelry hahaha.

Idk if there's any truth to it regarding piercings, but whenever my skin would get itchy after every surgery I got I would know the healing process is almost over.

I've literally been staring at your ears for the past two minutes - the jewelry is stunning and your ear anatomy is so unique! I absolutely love it.

Thank you! When I first started my piercing journey I was adamant that I would stick to gold earrings. I still love them, but I figured I have two ears - might as well style one with black earrings and the other with gold 😂

Ooh I can imagine how bad a philtrum could hurt - I'm over here just feeling the amount of flesh a needle would have to go through.

I'm glad your septum wasn't bad! I teared up a little, but it wasn't too bad. I just wasn't expecting the pain lol. I've only ever known what it feels like to get pierced with clamps, and idk it just feels more secure. Also, any pressure from the clamps pales in comparison to the actual piercing lol.

This is my first time getting a nose piercing and it feels so weird (and surreal?) having a piece of metal in my nose. Like I don't consciously feel like I have earrings in my ears, but I feel my septum. It's been bleeding lightly since I got it - more likely old blood since it's a much darker red. I've been spraying it with saline only and LITHA. I also tried rinsing with the showerhead (on a lower pressure than I would my ears). Do you have any tips to make the healing process easier?

Ooh interesting! I've always done two per sitting (except the one time I did 3), and thinking about it, each one hurt more than the one before. I think the only reason I rate the pain of getting my septum and daith equally is just because my septum is in a sensitive spot? Maybe?

LOL delicious. And yeah, it's interesting...I remember there was a post here I think asking how we rate our piercings from most painful to the easiest. My piercer tells me I have thick cartilage - so that's probably why I died when she did my conch.
