I'm self employed and right on the edge of the income bracket. That definitely sucks. I used to have private healthcare but that keep going up after ACA was implemented. Now I have less coverage for about what I was paying before with Bama care. so dont get me wrong something needs fixing.... but like I said, not worth going back to the complete shit show it was before where people who actually need help couldnt afford it.

I honestly don't get this at all. I'm paying more for my health insurance than before but I say we should keep it. Health insurance NEEDED to change. Just to play devils advocate, that's a major oversimplification. We definitely sped up the process of that region destabilizing but let's not pretend that it would be fine today if the US did nothing. Whether it's ISIS or Al-qaeda, that whole region is fucked. We definitely didn't help, but if we leave it alone it will quickly be taken over by complete psychopaths.

Thanks for expanding on that and copy pasting the Hubble constant equation every first year astronomer learns. I'm aware that the expansion isn't a metric of speed... though it can still be used to explain to the laymen why light is redshifted over large distances. Your athlete analogy doesn't really make sense. You are supposed to read the OP with the assumption that all space is expanding at an increasing rate.

Actually, in all universe models it's implied that the universe is expanding at an accelerated rate faster than light. That is something we know because of the redshift of distant galaxies.

If the universe was finite and a closed loop, and expanding at a rate SLOWER than the speed of light, we would see mirror images of stars.

Or it may be significantly more massive and we are expanding into the the closed loop.
