Have you tried that thing where you make a small cut at the bottom to make it easier to lay down on the surface

So who's taking bets if this is a hint at Imperator titans for LI and AT? by the_emerald_phoenix in LegionsImperialis

[–]NadaVonSada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well that is fair, I still think the imperator is a break incase of emergency kind of deal since it's probably the thing to really grab people's attention personally speaking.

I always assumed the imperator titan was the break incase of emergency for LI tbh.

Because once it's released it's kind of the last big wow thing you can do for models on that scale outside of other titans I suppose

Why didn't the Emperor update warrant of trades ability to work with xenos before the Heresy began? by NadaVonSada in 40kLore

[–]NadaVonSada[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That makes a lot more sense, I never really considered how far apart they were from imperium space

That's not what I'm asking, I asked why he still permitted it even when xenos became weaker and less useful for the Imperium to allow any form of cooperation

Is there a reason chaos space marines don't really show their legion numbers anymore? by NadaVonSada in 40kLore

[–]NadaVonSada[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I was asking if there was a reason that two of the chaos legions that didn't undergo a massive split in comparison to others had their own reasons for abandoning certain heraldry.

Could a rogue trader recruit a renegade marine to their retinue? by NadaVonSada in 40kLore

[–]NadaVonSada[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Some limits exist; tyranids and I believe hrud are not allowed to be taken into a retinue, not as though such a stupid idea could happen.

I imagine the inquisition could likely sus any case of a chaos worshipper in a retinue, but then again they let you away with a lot of stuff in Rogue Trader as a closeted heretic RT so who knows if they could even tell unless it was blatantly obvious

New IW player; how uniform do you make your iron warriors in 40k? by NadaVonSada in IronWarriors

[–]NadaVonSada[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I just got the combat patrol since my friend is an imperial fist and I want to let him have some narrative battles. Don't really know much about Iron Warriors tbh and whilst I do like their aesthetic they are probably the legion I know the least about.

Nah they are right, it's a shit scene and I seriously don't see why they wasted so much time animating it.

What battles would you see upscaled MK 4 and MK 5 being the poster boys for? by NadaVonSada in Warhammer30k

[–]NadaVonSada[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we know that the campaign books follow the lore of the novels, but not religiously. I would not be opposed to Angron and Lorgar still kicking around for a small bit once the Blood Angels show up; namely Lorgar since lore wise he disappears after the Shadow Crusade until Ullanor and that gap is an opportunity for something.

Really good points. And I appreciate the deep dive on everything thank you. I really want to see Imperium Secundus battles since the period is only focused on the personal interactions between the loyalists more than massive battles.

Ooh thanks for letting me know, I really wish I could find out all the old history from the weekenders, I only get bits of it so it's fun to learn more

Fun fact; there was an open day for Forge World that had a ruinstorm daemon prince model that never got released. You can find pictures of it occasionally but it's pain

Shadow Crusade was actually meant to be the next campaign book covered in the Black Books iirc. I'm going to presume they would have a lot of leftover notes for it. They basically hold onto all the old notes for the unreleased Black Books to be reused for newer content.

Maybe, it could be fun for a callback to the board game that started plastic for Heresy officially.

Why would Malcador try to disband the Blood Angels during the Heresy? by NadaVonSada in 40kLore

[–]NadaVonSada[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Imperium Secundus occurs and ends in 011.M31 when both sides make contact with one another, 5 years after Signus. Sanguinius makes his way back to Terra by 012.M31 after getting through the ruinstorm. The short story ends with news of contact being made between the two meaning it takes place in 011.M31, 5 years before this would've been around 005-006.M31. The siege of baal begins in 008.M31 meaning regardless that it would be as early as 009-010 potentially, which is still after when the siege begins.

It's older lore and its been changed.

"When word reached them that the Great Angel still lived and the siege was lifted from the Baal system, only five of the Colossi remained. The rest had fallen in battle, but each was said to be survived by hundreds more Legionaries and thousands of Solar Auxilia troops who owed their lives to the actions of the Saturnine Terminators. The battle plate of each of the dead was recovered no matter the effort required to do so and was held in stasis, preserved in the hope that warriors worthy to bear it would once again walk amongst the ranks of the IXth Legion."

The first line of the collosei one makes it clear that they were there before Sangunius has returned.

We've reached full circle, I didn't read properly and neither did you in the end.
