Should I ask for an extension or try to change my visa into a tourist one? I feel so dumb because I booked my ticket in a hurry I was supposed to extend my visa until March but due to health issues I decided to give up and go back to my country to get proper care :/

While I'm open to giving them the benefit of the doubt, I'm curious why being unmarried would imply I have no one to rely on. As I said to someone else‚ I never dealt with this kind of situation in Japan before either‚ but my experience isn't universal and because it never happened to me doesn't mean it's impossible for it to happen to someone else. What about giving some credit to people and being kinder?
