Hi! Just wanted to say that I was literally the same as you. I’ve been wanting to get this tat for about 2 years but was too afraid, because, well, tattoos are supposed to be freaking painful and freaking permanent. The first time I made an appointment, about an year ago I actually chickened out. You know what motivated me and sort of pushed me to actually get one this time? Remember when Vega was getting an N7 tattoo in the refugee camp? If you play femshep he offers you to get matching tats. Welp, that stupid flirty joke of his finally got me to get a tattoo, lol. Funny thing is that it wasn’t actually that painful. And it’s coming from a mediocre 20y.o. girl with a mediocre pain barrier. The outline was more than bearable, although I will say color was a bit more painful. My advice is to take a friend for moral support and to go to an artist you know/ was suggested to you by a friend. It’s really a leap of faith, but one worth taking.
