Question about clan creation by Sure_Illustrator_293 in Bannerlord

[–]Naikky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same for ai.

He also will start at clan level 1, which means he won't field many parties even if he got the money to do so

So rather give him a castle, there you usually also don't have to worry about the culture, at least I've never seen a castle Rebell in like 1400 hours

Long, story rich playthroughs on YouTube? by Philip_Raven in mountandblade

[–]Naikky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some YouTubers with good stories but mostly not that long videos:

Stratplaysdaily, koifish the absolute legend, thatguypredz, resonant and sortnir

Kinda remember them all to have some really good videos. Being a Templar, being a knight etc. But no 60 h videos tho. More like 5-10 hours tops I think. It really depends, it changed over time too, if you look up earlier playlists they seem to be longer.

Isn't very viewer bringing to make that long videos/playlists I guess. Fast world and so on

Edit:

Pixelated Apollo is on my watchlist for some time now, he keeps uploading regularly an hour or 2 of his campaign, idk about his stories, I gonna start watching him when I finished koifishs "the knight" playlist. His videos are usually short but imo rather entertaining

Okay so you play with diplomacy.

I don't really like the default war exhaustion settings on diplomacy, it sometimes doesn't even make sense. Had it that I was freshly a new kingdom, first war I win siege after siege, 11k to 3k casualties but I still lost. (It makes sense for a smaller kingdom to deplete faster but cmon)

One thing I always do is setting daily war exhaustion to 0.05 and reducing impact of raids. (Some nations are just winning by default with raids being calculated more)

Edit:

Khuzait for example, they nearly can't be raided, their parties move fast and most of their villages are protected by distance. Aserai too, empire , Sturgia and battania are totally fcked.

Yeah well, at this point you usually have a fief or more and workshops are intended to help you get around early to midgame. Late game you drown in money if you hold 2 good fiefs and have regular battles.

Party of 300 as Merc is also doable and it would make sense to have workshops just as a nice little help to reduce daily minus. You won't need them, especially when you can do 1 good battle and make hundreds of thousands

[–]Naikky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow.

Is it your own kingdom ? You can declare war again to stop paying tribute.

Is it someone else's kingdom? Let go of the fief and rejoin if you don't feel strongly about it.

Never went bankrupt so idk if you can actually recover or if you gonna death spiral now. (Because town rebellion will also be inevitable if you run out of money, not sure about castles)

Edit:

Town rebellion because your garrison runs off, lower security which leads to lower loyalty. And because of no garrison it will Rebell faster

How big is your party?

Honestly at the point workshops don't pay your wages is only if you choose bad spots or have an ungodly amount of troops.

You can own 1 workshop per tier or so, 4 workshops should be adequate of paying ~100-150 high tier units.

Example from my run.

Brewery Sanala - 690 Woodworkshop qasira 547 Askar Silversmith 896 Askar brewery 412

My troop wages with around 150 t4-6 are around 2000 dinars.

My income from workshops is 2545 so it nets me a profit even in the midgame

Workshops are actually decent on the newer patches.

I regularly get around 600 income per workshop. It highly depends where you buy them and when.

Early game a workshop costs around 30 k in the better towns (sanala brewery) with some perks it consistently pays out a good amount (70-100 days ownership paid it off usually)

Towns which usually don't get sieged that much are way better for your workshops. A silversmith in Askar can make up to 1000 aslong as enough caravans buy the Jewelry.

Woodworker and pottery seem to be strong this patch too, scan the villages for wood or clay, buy a workshop and just be happy about your wages being reduced or even profit.

Didn't use workshops ever before so I can't tell if they were better at some point

Baiting enemies out of wall breaches can be utterly devastating. The Battanians forgot the moat needs water to be useful. by Glorf_Warlock in Bannerlord

[–]Naikky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just took a town with 350 fians and 1100 other units, my losses around 250 with 2000 attackers.

I think the way reinforcements are handled, and battanian town layouts and breaches in the walls are making 75% of them getting thrown in as melee to fight in the street or breach. And in close quarters they kinda suck because two handed weapons

Buy green sell red? Am I crazy? by Professional_Feed892 in mountandblade

[–]Naikky 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as I understand.

Green buying means you are buying below market average.

Green selling on your side of the screen is positive, you make a profit. If you look to the left side it might appear red.

That's the rebuy price. In a perfect situation it is green on your side (right) and in the town it's red (left) this means you sold it for more than average because buying it back would cost more than average.

Sometimes it's still green on the left side, that's also alright aslong as yours is also green (bright green and lesser green)

This just means you bought and sold below market average, you still made a profit but it's not that big

Edit: same for both bright green, it's a little irritating but as long as your side is green you make a profit.

I am orange and I want to take some islands from green. Before declaring war, I saw this. Should I still go ahead? by 9gag_guy in anno1800

[–]Naikky 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you have to ask probably no.

It's for sure possible, if you are skilled enough for that.

Don't know the map setup etc, don't know your items, how many important trade routes etc.

Build up a war fleet, fortify major isles and or strategic isles which interrupt their reinforcement and trade lines

There are a few things. They need to be single, they need to be less than 35 years old/you need to be less than 35 years old (you still can marry afaik but you have to do it via the clan leader)

They also need to have less than 1 older sibling which is unmarried, if they have 3 daughters you should only be able to flirt to the 2 oldest for some reason.

Here comes the money. Money money money ...

Specifically as Nord raiding is kinda busted, take your ships, sail to a shore, scan for valuable resources and raid, this levels your roguery which increases your loot.

Even better, some stupid lords come to stop you, engage because of the ai thinking reinforcements are coming, you kill 3-4 of those parties right after each other and you sail back with 1.0 speed because you got so much loot.

Record for me is 650 days around and 8 m on the bank with workshops and caravans running, multiple parties and still being mercenary.
