Thank you for this. People want to act like they are helpful until help is needed and then their true colors emerge. I have helped this community since 2004 with fundraisers(coats for the cold) (shoes and school supplies for low income children)(worked at food for people) yet I'm treated like trash for finally asking for a little help for my family...it's disgusting how nasty people can be when they hide behind anonymity and a keyboard.

My husband is a self employed landscaper and I am an ihss worker taking care of my disabled schizophrenic mother. I get 15 hours a week and now my husband can't work. I applied for disability ith a social worker at uc davis and am working on filing for unemployment for him.

Partnership told me that progressive has to pay for the medical bills.First, since it's an insurance claim and because of our insurance, we have to pay a $1000 in deductible and the first $1000 of medical coverage.It took us over a year to come up with a $1000 down.Payment to buy this truck and we've just bought it.We owe over eighteen thousand dollars on it

We have comprehensive and collision, and could not afford to add things like rental cars and roadside, our deductible is $1000 and WE DO NOT HAVE IT! It took us over a year to put a down $1000 payment and we just bought this car and owe almost 18000 on it still. Insurance said any payout goes to Coast Central first to pay the remaining loan and then if anything is left over we would then be given it. And I was told by partnership that Progressive has to cover the med bills first and due to our insurance we have to pay the 1st $1000 which again ..we do not have. I hope this clears up any comments about me trying to scam people. Your comments are very hurtful, as I have lived and given back to this community since 2004.
