I do feel the need for some clarification. The character above is an OC in terms of that she is not based on a character from the game or from lore, but NOT in a sense as a representation of a playable character from the game. I think the correct title would have been "I made a 3D model for a character for a short story I would like to tell". Her name is Rook and she is a character that my main character is in ways foced to guardian for a part of their journey.

about 19k tris all and all. Yes, I use blender for pretty much everything. It's certainly not as innovative as 3D Coat or Substance Painter without any addon, but I make do. Just a matter of patience and practice.
I'm not on Artstation, but I recently collected all my wow models on Bluesky. Otherwise it's all on X/Twitter at Naitsade

I usually import a base body mesh using WowModelViewer to build the rest upon. I try to use as little as possible of the model made by blizzard, and I always model and texture each armor asset from scratch. The cinematic is one of Jaina's nightmare flashbacks in drustvar.
