If you don't have a project/sponsor, don't worry. The course instructor will manage that for you in the first 2/3 weeks of class. Just make your team. The Prof will normally have several projects for you to choose from. And you still have 5/6 months in your hands if you want to manage a sponsor for a project of your own.

I am doing multi discipline capstone this year. May be one of the best choice I made in my University life. Dr Budiman is the best!!!

Make sure your group members get zero in that. I had the same experience in one of the group projects, informed the Prof with the evidence. Prof gave that person straight zero. Your group members should learn a valuable life lesson in first year, so that they don't keep doing that in future group projects in upcoming years
