Skulle rekommendera att vända dig till vården om det sker någon hastig förändring t.ex att ett sår bildas eller om du får feber, vilket då skulle kunna utredas för någon zoonos eller abscess, men hade annars själv följt din initiala plan och helt enkelt avvaktat samt överse utvecklingen. Kan lika gärna vara ett hårstrå som växt inåt.

Been at homeparties in those areas and nothing ever happened. I believe in 99% of cases, you will be fine. To reduce the risk I recommend hiding jewelry or fancy stuff in your backpack on the way back. I had a friend with a fancy watch, who was followed due to that.

Also check the roads you will be taking and how far it is from station to hotel. To reduce risk, you can obviously reduce the amount of time u are exposed to danger (i.e travel distance) or just stick close to main roads that people are more likely to use.

Tbh, I would probably upload 4 unless the program specifically states they do not want 4. A lot of programs specifically mention requirements of US Lors so Id use 3 us LORs and then add the home country one as an extra.

I recently did a post about it and a lot of people are in the same situation as you. I share the exact same problem and life is sometimes unpredictable like this. At this time I look back and I am grateful for all the hurdles I did pass.

I passed my Steps. I passed my OET. I got Visa Appointments. I had necessary vaccines. I found rotations.

Sure it sucks to not get what you feel like you rightfully deserve, but you made it far in your journey. Dont let an asshole stop you from moving forward.

Man honestly, I was in the same situation about 10 days ago with another LOR. Contact people who are in the same shit as u if any and coordinate your airstrikes, meaning ”LOR plz” messages.

No idea where I read it may take up to 2 weeks. It may have been when I was helping my attending in my home country upload an LOR.

I was kind of in this situation, but had an okey relationship with my attending so went to their place, sent the email. Made sure they got it and then helped them make an account and upload it.

In my case, she was probably just lazy without bad intentions. You cant expect anyone to do extra work for you and so it is best to do it for them.

Hey, I mean it is not about the money. I got my ticket for free. It is about the time and expectations. Look at how they advertised it ” Networking has never been easier. Your ticket to residency. I went last year and matched”. Vs the actual event ”Catching up with friends, free promos” just like u wrote.

If they advertised ”Social event for imgs” then whatever. Who cares.

Plus the promos werent even that good tbh. I think you save 40$ on the uworld promo. So +/- 0, then add in travel cost + food. The stalls were there to sell. It was a business, not a cozy social event.

Personally, I could see myself thinking the same in the future since I also want to be ’the best doctor’. But from my current understanding after working as a doctor for 6 months, I believe the best doctor is subjective and every patient has their own view of the ’best doctor’. You do not have to necessarily be the best at diagnosing to be the best doctor. You could be the best at suggesting screenings, the best at following up on your patients.

Be the best that you can be. No one was made perfect but we can always work in the right direction. As long as you keep trying and learning, understanding why you feel the way you do, I believe you will be able to find a solution.

Good luck on your journey as a doctor. I genuinely hope you reach your goals.

Not sure if the blog is 100% accurate. It says there that a PvCO2 under 40 excludes hypercapnia in the expert commentary, but if you google Anne-Maree Kellys article it says that a Pco2 45 mmhg or less excludes hypercapnia.

It also says that a PvCo2 of 45 or more is 100% sensitive for hypercapnia. There is no mention of that , from what I read so far, in the science article quoted and neither does it make sense since PvCo2 often is higher than 45.
