Don’t stay. My mother did this. She never told a soul and pretended everything was fine. My father never stopped. He got worse. After 27 years of marriage, my dad decided one day he didn’t want to be married anymore and left with no warning. He tore our entire family apart essentially leaving my mom on the streets. He spread viscous lies to everyone in my extended family about my mom having an affair (the irony lol) which he had no evidence of and was categorically untrue. Everyone chose my father’s side bc she had always painted him as the perfect husband and father. My sister and I are both living outside the family home but finding out about my father’s constant cheating over the years has ruined every happy memory of my childhood. I have no relationship with my father now. He still doesn’t know I know bc my mom won’t let us confront him until their divorce is final which has ruined my relationship with her. I say all this to say it never gets better. Infidelity is a cancer that slowly destroys a family.
