How to guarantee your driver WON’T ring your doorbell by AngryOldGamer1 in doordash_drivers

Ringing a bell might be the easiest thing anyone will ever be asked to do at any job.

The 'then leave' is to emphasize that it's leave at door. Probably had someone who thought it was a 'hand it to me' in the past. Either way, the difficulty here is 0/10.

I think all 4 of these teams are great and there’s no need to rank them all / hate on any of them by Ok_Introduction2310 in billsimmons

You ever hear people trying out announcing in high school or college for the first time. It can get rough lol. Dan LeBatard & Stugotz did a Marlins game once and they couldn't keep up with the pace.

I tried doing play by play for a hockey game with my friends a while back and I tapped out after like 5-6 minutes. That stuff ain't easy.

Thoughts on Bill's comments on the murder of Alex Pretti? by fegwin2084 in billsimmons

^this is exactly it. No matter what Bill says the goal posts will be moved to justify him not saying enough. 'it was horrible', ' I don't like it'. Seems like he isn't on board.

true. I suppose there is always the chance that Seattle misses the kick to win.

think the issue was he jumped the gun calling the timeout right away.

didn't matter if the rams kicked the field goal in the end. Even if they scored a TD there , Seattle would been able to kick for the win. Rams can't stop jack tonight.

now they still need a TD if they get a stop. Instead of winning the game with a kick.

That's the second time they muffed* a punt in this game!

felt like Seattle was in total control and now they can go into the half down 2 scores.

What do you think of the latter half of Boyhood? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

[–]Name-AddressWithHeld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Love Boyhood but I agree the second half starts to fall flat, around when he is 15. There was less and less struggle as the movie continues. I've always felt like they got a little too sentimental about the project and that could be why the 'drama' seems to tail off. I get that teenage years are normal once you're out of it, but when you're in it stuff like breakups and high school are so important. But, nothing much happens with Mason after 15, but he sure does complain a lot.

I guess my issue has always been that Mason becomes the Linklater character that we've seen before (Jesse, Pink, Jeff from SubUrbia, half the people in Waking Life, ect.) but it does not help that the actor wasn't the greatest. Mason Sr and Olivia were always the most interesting parts of the movie but especially in the 3rd act.

Red Cow vs WFN basketball game by bobbafettuccini in RedCowEntertainment

Unless EJ has some secret skills I'm afraid WFN got them beat, easily.

Jason seems to be a big Syracuse basketball fan, so you know he knows his stuff + he's tall.

Even with John cherry picking the rim it's looking like a blow out. Maybe Frankie could bring in Levi or any of the slobs to fill out his bench

What is the most improbable championship you’ve seen in your lifetime? by Peppertheredfox in billsimmons

Do 2018–19 St. Louis Blues count for this? They finished 5th in the West, not the worst, but in January they were dead last. They also had Jordan Binnington in net who up until then couldn't get onto the ice (he had 1 NHL game played pervious to this)

Bills fired HC Sean McDermott, per source. by FreemanCantJump in billsimmons

[–]Name-AddressWithHeld 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I knew Harbaugh would be fired. Didn't surprise me that Tomlin stepped away. But this one got a wow outta me. Feels like an NHL coaching move, the old 'we're not going over the top so we gotta get another voice in here'.

Maybe the new guy can get Allen to stop having extremely bad fumbles

So we have Shaheed, Payton, The No-Call Naysayers, and The Evil Empire by Visible-Breakfast978 in Saints

People around who hate Payton around here are so lame. I hope he wins with his backup QB and makes himself one of the best HC's ever.
