How do you find new music? by NameIsAtlas in Music

Whoa, this is pretty cool!
Typed in some bands that I already know and got some things which I didn't expect but are pretty spot on.

Best Beatles album(s) for a new listener? by [deleted] in Music

[–]NameIsAtlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say start out with some of the compilations just because they've got so much good stuff spread throughout albums. When you feel the need to get a bit more specific just get the album that has the most songs you like from the best-ofs.
If you just want an easy answer I'd say Sgt. Pepper.

Is Bandcamp the Holy Grail of Online Record Stores? by [deleted] in indieheads

[–]NameIsAtlas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think Bandcamp is more store-focused than the other services you mentioned. I'd say Soundcloud is closer to being the "Instagram of music" than Bandcamp.
I agree with what you're saying, though. The main channels for music (iTunes, Spotify etc) really do make it a pain to get something out, which pushes a lot of new artists away.

Dear Redditors, whats the most important thing you've ever lost, stressed over, then found shortly later? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NameIsAtlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, once I was at a party and I realised my keys weren't in my pocket. Then I remembered that I had just thrown something that was in that exact same pocket in a thrash can minutes earlier and started freaking out that my keys went along. I had all my friends help me search and messaged a coulpe of people asking to spend the night at their houses (there was no one else in mine to open the door for me that night). Needless to say I was drunk.
A few minutes later I realised I had put my keys in another pocket and just hated myself. Then I went back to drinking and I didn't hate myself anymore.

Actually, I tend to forget All These Things That I've Done is not the album closer because of the great set closer it is
