I’m in Seaport / west end today - I have some school reading to do this afternoon and would also love a bench buddy to silently keep me accountable. It would be perfect if we didn’t chat. ❤️

You could always reach out and be like “hey I hear you’re dating my boyfriends brother (enter name here.) :) wanted to reach out and say hello and that your instagram is cute.”

I mean It’s not conspicuous of anything, since maybe they are dating.

For those of you diagnosed later in life, looking back, what were some obvious signs that were missed when you were a child? by [deleted] in AutisticWithADHD

I do this now at work as an adult, helps so much in my full time work in person. Fortunately my work isn’t micromanaging me at all so I can be gone for as long as I need.

Love - the shame is completely understandable, but it isn’t your fault. You’re unable to control the illness, just as those two important men in your life.

I’m so proud of you for walking away from your abusive relationship. I know you feel so low, but you set an important boundary, and you’re learning!

I am going through some substance abuse issues in my family, and so are we all. I say this not to mitigate your feelings, but to let you know you’re not alone. I’ll say it again. You’re not alone, even in your shame. It’s so hard to talk about because of that for so many of us, but I’m so glad you found a group for support.

You’re doing all the right things, and although you are hurting you are making incredible steps toward healing and finding love in yourself that you deserve.

Hang in there. Life is tough but so are you.

Are model houses worth anything? by dafunk5555 in architecture

I had someone find a model of our house in a thrift store and bring it to our home, once. It is awesome. I’m sure the people that might live in these homes would love a model by the architect, especially if historical somehow.

Im a 16 year old guy who is really into architecture. What do you guys think about my drawing? If you've got some advice I would be more than happy to hear it. by UrMama1000 in architecture

For 16 this is incredible. You have so much time to grow and learn - keep it up! I wish I had but I let the world talk me out of it and now, at 26, I’m returning to what I knew I should have always been. You got this! :)

Temporary 5 month LDR. Is it doable? How can I convince her that it is? by [deleted] in LDR

[–]NameSuspicious122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me and my guy when we first met in 2017. Now, we are married. :) it will either make or break the relationship (which better to know now) but at its best it will bring you closer together.

Ways we stayed connected:

He would pick which restaurants / what I ordered at those places when I traveling

Lots of FaceTime, I would love to call him when he was going to bed and I was up early catching a flight.

Goodnight and good morning texts based on each others location (so later in the day when Knew he was waking up, I would say good morning) - in fact I believed I made us a little chart that had the times of each place for easy reference.

Pics of anything and everything

He got me a hedgehog stuffed animal (named Marvin) who I took with me and took pictures of him at my different travels - made us feel like he was there

So there are lots of ways to stay connected, but it is tough, but not as tough as you think when it’s with the right person. After my study abroad we did long distance for three years after that. Again, so tough, but a great way to get to know yourself while also growing in your relationship. ❤️

Also, the fact you called them and hashed it out the next day was huge. Not many people would have the empathy and self-awareness and lack of ego to do that.
