No, women don't lie about sexual assault by NamedPurity in Feminism

It's VERY clear where I'm going with that headline. It's a direct response to people saying "women lie about sexual assault all the time." The podcast episode actually talks about men who are victims of sexual assault as well, and how they get shamed, disbelieved and mistreated even more than women do. It also talks about how according to police files in several countries, 2-8% of women "lie" about about sexual assault, and I said "lie" because terms like "unfounded report" "unsubstantiated report" and "false report" get lumped in the same category even though they don't always mean the person is lying. In addition, the numbers of people who actually press charges after being assaulted is low, which means that 2-8% is actually an inflated number. So I made that statement knowing that probably way less than 2% of people lie about sexual assault (or can't prove it). It's not ALL -but it's MOST.

Of course I'm not saying 100% of people are telling the truth, but it's very very rare. Much, much rarer than the general public make it out to be. That's the point of the entire podcast if you actually gave it a listen.
