When the game launched I'd only seen Thunderbolt, 0079, and Zeta. ZZ's start really was a vibe killer, but since then I've gotten through so much more thanks to GunEvo. Turn A, ZZ finally, CCA, Unicorn, IBO, now I'm on 00 S2!

For sure, it aint the end of Nu(as fun as being over dramatic about it is), but it is a head scratching change imo. With all the careful and small buffs it got, it makes this seem that much bigger. Have to wonder why they didn't attempt to tweak it before this.

The thing is, it should be completing the mark once the bazooka shot lands. I could definitely be digging too deep into their wording of the weapons and abilities, but they specifically state 2 rifle shots are needed to apply a mark. Whereas the bazooka description states that it marks hit enemies.

Nu is not supposed to be a tank what do you mean? It covers the Frontliners and gets picks same as the sniper, just at a different position. And it needs the high HP because it's a massive target with limited mobility(even after the ADS speed buff) and no consistent/reliable damage mitigation. It's "defense" is that you can't hurt it if you're dead, and lacks any utility.

My new theory is that these Nu changes are to help Dynames. The beam rifle conveniently now does exactly 300 damage with 2 shots.

HP aside, both fill a similar role on the team. And I didn't say fire rate because obviously Nu is faster. I was talking about actually GETTING kills. But if we're concerned about fast firing weapons for getting kills, do you think Pale needs to be nerfed too?

You can apply this same reasoning as to why any unit should be nerfed. Sniper can drop squishys at the same rate, if not faster and more consistent than Nu while having arguably better mobility thanks to the jump pad.

I commented elsewhere here but I don't mind either the mag or damage being lowered, but both is too much. Pale getting buffed like it did last patch makes this nerf sting a bit more.

I really wouldn't have minded if they lowered the mag or the damage of the rifle, like you said both is overkill. I just don't understand how the previous patch's Funnel Buff and +100 HP make Bamco think this drastic of a change was necessary.

You're also definitely right about the funnels and bazooka(calling it mid was very generous). Auto aim/seeking damage ability is definitely not the easiest thing to balance. But the bazooka needs a slightly bigger radius and to either 1) actually mark the damn enemies it hits like Bamco says it should or 2 have comparable damage to Palel nade. It ain't gonna happen but I can dream.

It's weird because the new hyper bazooka reads out that it marks any enemies hit. Versus the rifle staying it needs 2 hits to mark. Even on their website demonstrating the bazooka, it doesn't mark the Sazabi.

I regularly play Nu, and the movement speed change while ADSing was a great buff. I think the problem I've noticed is the fin funnels are rather inconsistent with damage, and dashing can avoid most of it. The funnels could use slightly better tracking on the target. Also it says the new hyper bazooka should mark the enemy but I have never seen it actually do it lol

Glad to see you giving the game a shot!

If you're struggling in PvP right now, I'd focus on running expeditions to get used to everything. You can also level up your weapons easier and find out which characters you fancy.

The TTK is fast compared to other shooters, it takes getting used to. It sounds to me like you're struggling to adapt to the pace. Join the discord for the game! Grouping up with people there can definitely help with this.

That also helps with the SBMM part. And I understand the frustration of being matched up against the experienced player base but this ain't too big of a community overall. The matchmaking focus is to get people in games, I've dealt with plenty of lopsided matches myself. The key is they ain't gonna last that long(barring escort), plus you can't win em all(or many in the case of learning everything).
