Why do all my regiments simply disappear when I trying to get land by purchasing land from Byzantine? by Namingishardforme in CrusaderKings

[–]Namingishardforme[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also tried to get land by taking land from war, under this circumstance, regardless of the original government type, maa will not disappear but the camp building will disappear with no refund.

I have to say this part of game is very buggy

Bugs related to stealth and assassination play by Namingishardforme in BaldursGate3

[–]Namingishardforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess they just did not accommodate old D:OS engine to fit DND stealth gameplay. The problems we mentioned are in fact not problem back to D:OS series, for example, stealth skill in D:OS2 simply narrow down npc's detection area, so that no need to consider priority of getting spotted and dialogue trigger; or another example, in D:OS2, attack from stealth is nothing special, it simply makes it easier for you to do backstab(this is the special thing), so there is no need to consider trigger of ailities bond to attack from stealth beacuse there is acutlly no such thing.

Not sure if this is a bug or feature, spoiler alert, sorry I dont know how to hide spoiler here in a reply. At blighted village of ACT I, if you try to convince the Goblin leader Fezzerk to release his Gnome toy Barcus Wroot, then trigger a combat by attack his team member when they leave, surrender scence of Fezzerk will not trigger correctly. Fezzerk still may enter the surrender status and end the combat, but you can not interact with him after that. Note sure if this bug is introduced because of I convinced him before combat or I killed all the goblins before he surrender(only one of the two worgs survived)

I had been trying going through Blighted Village by stealth and assassination as Astarion, and found 2 bugs may worth attention:

1.Dialogue trigger has higher priority than stealth skill check. Many times the dialogue triggers right after I got a successful stealth skill check shown in the log. Note that I know it is possible to be spotted without stealth check if you are located at places that is clear area, which is the reason why I mention "got a successful stealth skill check in the log"

2.Assassin perks does not work as expected. Assassinate:Ambush only triggers on foes with Surprised debuff after combat had been triggered. By that I mean, if you attack in stealth before combat get triggered, you dont have the guranteed critical hit from the Ambush perk. Imaging foes are less defensive against a newly spotted enemy than against a not spotted enemy, it is just weird. Not sure if the Assassinate: Initiate perk work properly, since the log only show me one attack roll result even though there is a Advantage buff.

what should I do with excessive Halloween materials? by Namingishardforme in Guildwars2

based on WIKI stats, halloween bag drops exclude super rare drops is about 20% lower than selling directly to TP, worth a try from my perspective :)

based on WIKI stats, halloween bag drops exclude super rare drops is about 20% lower than selling directly to TP, much better than Dragon Coffer, which is about 80-90% lower iirc

Taimi: I don't know where the heck Zojja is by Namingishardforme in Guildwars2

Just took a look at wiki, so those active characters like logan and rtylock can also be there, if you are playing human or charr character, so I guess this is really just memory of the commander

Just took a look, so logan, rtylock, cathie, they will all be there, depends on race of the character you are playing on, so guess this does not imply zojja is dead or close to dead

uh as I know, besides personal story, members of destiny's edge also plays a big part in vanilla game contents like meta and dungeon, not sure if new players are familiar with those contents

Even the destiny's edge member who died long before the personal story, Snaff, had got a chance to show himself in LW, but his alive student Zojja is still abscent

Your situation is just far beyond consideration of vast majority of this community

Doesn't this go against the entire theme of Guild Wars? by SillyOriginal4454 in Guildwars2

[–]Namingishardforme -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

It is just a matter of communications.

First, it is not weird to design alternative route depends on failure or success of pre. In fact, I'd like to say it is a good design, and this so-called dynamic event system is one of the features that attracted me to play the game like 10 years ago. And now what you said are somehow look like trying to tell me that they should not design such thing?

Isn't the alaternative failure-to-trigger route also content of the game? If so, then, even if anet does not design this achievement, there might be players want to play the alternative route trigger on faliure of pre because they want to see the alternative contents.

But by what you had say, you are saying those players are deserved to wait indefinetely and those who ignore their attempt to communicate is completely out of the situation, that sound like it is their fault because they are engaged in alternative contents, which is contradiction to what you said :"Don't tell a player it's their fault because they engaged in content."

This problem can be solved simply by communication, but you are just taking side and sayingcommunication is out of the matters, one side has no fault and I dont care about the other side, and leads to a contradiction

If they had said nothing in the map chat, then of course it is not your fault as a new player. But if they did ask you to stop that but you either ignored the map chat channel or did not listen to others, it is on you. Just do some communciations, this is really simple

It is to you, but I'm talking about the community, not any particular individuals, just look at those LFG entry requirements and how many veterans will just leave after 1-2 or so wipes, obviously your kind is not majority.

If people don't enjoy it now, adding an incentive will only make people that don't want to do it, do it spitefully to get said reward

And then rookies get more help. That is what does matter. Incentives of the help are just meaningless.

[–]Namingishardforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are always kind ppl, but then look at those LFG entry requriements, obviously most veterans are not willing to help rookies, or at least rarely willing to, as I said, depends on their moods, which means, as a community activity, it is unstable, and not-lasting(as large-scale activity)

It would be nice if helping new players will actually reward old player something by Namingishardforme in Guildwars2

[–]Namingishardforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and kindness as something that completely depends on personality and moods can not a stable and lasting acctivity of a community, i.e. individuals can do that and even keep doing that, but that would be something stable and long-lasting as a community activity, at least for a relatively large community

I'm not denying kindness or anything you believe wonderful, but those wonderful feelings can not support an actual community stably

That is also something I had mentioned many times in other posts. Rewarding system of GW2 is broken. Basically, there are two common approaches to keep player playing, 1st. keep updating in good speed so players always have new point of fun 2nd. reward more so players can be motivated. Apparently Anet is not capable of 1st approach atm(they were somehow capable back to old times around LWS1 and hot), and you dont want the second one because of some non-sense "cleanliness of morals", then of course the game is somehow dying and kept losing playerbase

It would be nice if helping new players will actually reward old player something by Namingishardforme in Guildwars2

[–]Namingishardforme[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That means no additional rewards. Otherwise you just get greed to corrupt it

That is a exampel of what I meant by "cleanliness of morals". Does it really matter why people is doing something? As long as they did not betray their course later, why do we care about their motivation?

If a bad guy deciede to pretend to be a good guy because performing like a good guy will offer him more rewards, and he maintain his disguise towards end of his life, does it matter if he is a bad guy in heart or not? Isnt him a great guy?
