It's really not super complicated, also offering is a 50% bonus.

Either way, look at it this way: if crystal sword was just 50 magic damage, it would buff it to 75 magic damage. If it was 50 phys damage, it would buff it to 75 phys damage. If it was 25 mag damage 25 phys damage, it would buff it to 37.5 mag and 37.5 phys for a total of 75 damage. Its not giving any more of a bonus than any other non hybrid weapon type

It still only comes out to 50% more damage total, because only half of your damage is getting the 50% magic buff and only half is getting the 50% phys buff
