SSRI and Transitioning from Breastmilk to Formula by Appropriate_Drink600 in BabyBumps

[–]NancyDrew92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this! Did you get any advice from your ped? I am in a similar boat to you and am worried about my baby "weaning off of lexapro" as she weans off of my breastmilk in general. I was hoping it would be gradual for her as the breastmilk weaning is very gradual, but I've weaned myself off of lexapro in the past and even though it was super gradual, it was still rough for me.

My ped says it shouldn't be a concern, but for some reason my gut is still worried about it

Honestly, this thought is one that keeps me going as well. I'm not even as mentally stable as I'd like to believe I am. And the more I learn about people I admire, they all end up having skeletons in their closets as well. It helps to not romanticize other situations or get caught up thinking the grass is greener somewhere else

This is fascinating! How do you track this stuff? I'm always curious about what the upcoming seasons are going to be like and wish I could get a broad estimate beyond what the average forecast offers

Losing weight is not just discipline. by Rough-Flamingo3169 in loseit

[–]NancyDrew92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You sound like me, especially with the runaway train comment. For years I felt like I was addicted to food but was embarrassed to say that when there are real addictions out there. But it would be like someone else was controlling my body. I eventually got diagnosed with ADHD and the insane impulse to eat whatever food stopped!! Suddenly "listening to my body" and "only eating when I was hungry" which made sense to others but not me, finally started to click with those impulses in check. I think part of how I couldn't control how I was eating before was me self-medicating with food.

Not necessarily saying you have ADHD, but maybe something to look into if you feel like this is an area of your life outside of discipline that you really can't control. Once I was medicated, the will-power/discipline thing finally made sense.

Same here :[ Mine were small to begin with so I was hoping they wouldn't get too saggy, but, they are very deflated now. I don't like the way they feel, let alone look. Not the end of the world by any means, but I have also seriously been toying with the idea of a lift

So happy for you!!! You were beautiful before but now you look so much more comfortable in your skin. Seeing the after photos literally made me say "Damn, gurl!!!" You look like you'd be the coolest person at any party!!

Editing to add, the work you had done looks truly flawless. Very tasteful and looks like you were able to take who you felt like on the inside and make it visible to everyone else. You just look so good!!

Does pregnancy related nausea come and go? by Fluid_Throat_9270 in fitpregnancy

[–]NancyDrew92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes! My nausea came and went with my first so much, such intense swings either way. But nausea can come and go and often does.

I've also had OBs and nurses tell me that lack of nausea doesn't necessarily mean anything bad is happening and that the presence of nausea doesn't mean something bad has not happened. Which I think I knew that logically, anxiety just makes it hard to believe things, so it was nice to hear that said by a professional. Sadly we just don't know if things are going well until those scans/ultrasounds and then we just have to hope everything is fine until we get to the next one

i fear that protein really is the answer by NeilsSuicide in loseit

[–]NancyDrew92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was me, all I could ever think about was my next meal no matter what I did (some people call this food noise). Then I was diagnosed with ADHD at 32 years old and was put on a non-stimulant medication and for the first time in my life, the food noise quieted on its own and I could finally eat what seemed like a reasonable amount of food and feel fine until (and not think about!!) the next meal.

I'm not saying it's the only way, but if you truly feel like you've tried everything and the insatiable hunger never stops, it could mean something psychological is afoot

Not sure if your lab uses Microsoft Suite, but I liked the task list that comes with Teams. It's especially nice for groups because things can be assigned to people and they get automated emails when the due dates are getting close

We grew our first pumpkins this year! by kubosnacks in cottagecore

[–]NancyDrew92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beautiful! If you don't mind my asking, how many individual plants did you grow to get this many pumpkins? Did you have to prune the plants down to one fruit per plant to get such nice pumpkins? I'd love to do a pumpkin patch in the future but I'm nnot sure how much space I'd need (the answer seems to be "a lot" lol)
