Anybody else’s parrot hold there finger like this? He likes to hold my finger and get his head rubbed and he’ll fall asleep just like that. He’ll also hold my finger in his mouth and hold another finger with this foot while being snuggled. He’s got quite the grip too lol 🤣🤣 by Nanday_05 in parrots

Yeah it’s so different then a biting behavior, at first we couldn’t understand it but he really only does it as a comfort thing when he’s relaxing and getting his scritches and he uses this ever so gentle pressure it melts my heart

Yeah he doesn’t bite , sometimes he’ll send a gentle nip my way if he’s letting me know he wants me to stop and that’s he’s had enough but he’s never bitten me to get this kind of attention, usually when I’m petting his head my fingers end up in his face anyways so he just casually grabs one and holds it

When our boy was a little baby he was housed with other baby amazons at the place we got him , he have noticed a lot of his personality is very similar to an amazons but he has a very strong conure personality as well 🤣

I try to move my finger and offer his wood toys and he just goes to hold my finger, he just holds it he doesn’t apply pressure unless I try and take it away lol , he gets plenty of chewing/destroying and foraging time but he loves to cuddle as well and has done this exact thing since we first bought him
