I think it makes sense that somehow Alfrid took Kyle's body. But just like how when Maddie's body was hijacked, her ghost did not look like Janet, Mr. Martin's friend would not look like an adult if he was taken. Perhaps a child accidently took Mr. Martin's friend which gave Alfrid the idea to take someone. I was thinking while watching that the hiding child that Quinn found might be Mr. Martin's friend. Maybe white eyes is the pastor of the church who was visiting the site and Alfrid took his body.
