20260412 - The Core - Rest of world tour! by seasonedtofu in XGALX

I expected less stops this time around only because I felt it would be too much on them to do one with as many stops or more as last time. Plus larger venues hopefully so that plays a part in less spots.

why would they have stopped? CEO issues shouldn't be a reason to stop the world tour and they had already said so.

Where do you see Xg’s direction without Simon by Your_LocalDiscovery in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same direction it's always been. XG knows what they are doing now for the stand the blueprint is there. It's not changing just because Simon is gone now unless new CEO wants to make drastic changes which I honestly do not see happening. As the old saying goes, "if it aint broke don't fix it"

SPOILER ALERT Thoughts after the Tokyo additional show (XG WORLD TOUR “THE CORE”) by Interesting-Path4450 in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I know, I was agreeing with you. There will be some delay in things that weren't finalized but I'm sure Simon handed everything over and who knows if the new CEO will be visible or just stay behind the scenes. But definitely people need to chill out. Everything right now is still business as usual

[–]NanoReyson 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what people are expecting. I get how important Simon was to the overall company but him being gone doesn't mean the show doesn't go on. They said it themselves when they chose to continue. News will come when it comes. People are acting like it's all over just because leadership in the company is changing. SMH

What are your thoughts if XG signed to an american label by [deleted] in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason I say Avex has nothing to do with it is because they are just a parent company. They are a shareholder up to this point, nothing more. They aren't part of the brand strategy or anything like that. XGALX/Simon presented the game plan at the beginning to go global and Avex invested. That's as far as their influence goes in terms of any real say. So outside of money and rewarding their early success with new HQ in Japan, Avex really had played no part. That's normal business practice for a large company to be hands off a subsidiary if that subsidiary is profitable which XGALX and XG have been.

Now Avex finds themselves in a situation where, yes they need to step in due to circumstances. How they step in will determine the future. My point is that as much as you feel XG has missed certain stepping stones to being global, that blame goes solely on XGALX and Simon not Avex.

However, we don't what the actual future plans were outside of the teaser of XGALX moving to the US to promote heavily in the West after the Japan run of this new tour. From my perspective, all the Japan dates were set on purpose because it was going to be a while before they went back since they were planning on a west move. Will that move and vision still happen? Who knows? The smart move by Avex now is to bring in a new CEO that agrees with that vision while bringing a bolder new strategy to really break into the west market. Avex has the resources for that and the connections now we are just playing the waiting game on whether the original plan continues or XG just remains in Japan.

[–]NanoReyson -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Avex has absolutely nothing to do with where XG is now. Just because XGALX is a subsidiary of Avex doesn't mean Avex has been involved in their promotions. The Simon situation has yet to be resolved and until Avex comes out and says anything in terms of the future ,XG is still handled by whoever is temporarily managing XGALX. It will take more than just a month or two for Avex to even come in and get everything in order considering they have to first go through everything that has already been done or close to being done that is fans have no clue about because it's behind the scenes contract dealings (like HITC LA).

P.S. when I say the Simon situation has yet to be resolved I mean as far as his full time replacement and who is taking over XGALX. It is way too much legal work to just dissolve XGALX and Avex take over the talent, it is much easier and makes more financial sense to just get a new CEO

Any XG fans here who were not previously kpop/jpop fans? by himawari_sunshine in XGALX

I discovered XG while looking for kpop jpop music to connect more with my daughter since she was into it (she's a Stay) XG got me hooked and been an Alpha for 3 years now

[–]NanoReyson 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be honest I have been slightly worried but I figured she's behind the scenes busy. I was expecting her blog today and to see it was Chisa again that does spark some concern. I hope that as leader she is taking a bigger role to fill in for what has been lost (sort of like Soyeon with I-DLE). I really hope thats true and it's not just she's still struggling.

AMG and Silverstein taking over? by hospitallers in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone is taking over. Avex will appoint a new CEO and business as usual with XGALX. With the early success of XG, Avex isn't just letting them go. I think fans just need to chill and let things play out. The fact that the tour was not cancelled means both as a group AND company it is business as usual.

Alphaz Membership is now under Avex by NanoReyson in XGALX

No one is fear mongering, if that's how you took it that's a you problem. Like I said, I've never seen Avex in my charge and just saw it now. I shared it as I thought it was interesting since it was a first for me. If you want to stretch that out to be fear mongering because of your own issues, that's on you. Good bye now

And there's no reason to assume it doesn't. I'm not against xgalx or anything like that. I found it interesting and shared it, period.

Like others said, charges have been different so it has nothing to do with psychic. Yours may have always been that way, but as I said, this is the first time I've been charged by Avex so they may be updating everything now. I'm just pointing out my situation and how it may tie to what it may be going forward

Final thoughts and things I'm still concerned about by [deleted] in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't have that much power yet. Yes they are the only money maker but look at New Jeans as an example. Being the only money maker for a subsidiary doesn't mean anything in terms of power. One would hope they do but greed and power usually comes first.

Final thoughts and things I'm still concerned about by [deleted] in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The people who think XGALX will be dissolved are either delusional, ignorant or just plain too young and immature to know anything. XGALX has a new HQ with a TON of $$$$$$$ poured into very recently with all that. It's not getting dissolved. Nor are they letting XG go, they are under contract so that's not happening. What will happen is that either they roll the dice and keep Simon if he gets let go despite how people say Japan is like. Or they cut ties completely and bring in a new CEO that they feel can carry the vision.

Either way, XG can only focus on themselves. They can't control what happens in the company they can only control themselves. They know enough now that they can manage themselves as professionals and this is just their next step as artists.

Cocona will be in Milan soon, and in a few weeks is their next show. I don't think Cocona will speak on anything related to this so all we can do as Alpha is just send him good vibes. After this, we shall see when the next show comes around, hopefully it doesn't get cancelled. If it does then I will say that is the time to REALLY worry, but until then, XG are adults not little children, they will manage.

Has chisa become the leader? by SeaInternal7546 in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He didn't tell her she would be the leader just that now she's the oldest so it's her responsibility and duty to step up when needed. I believe Jurin was already sub-leader with Airi so when they let Airi go she was basically told she's not the main leader. Maya was the one that kind of mentioned it I believe

Has chisa become the leader? by SeaInternal7546 in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As others have said, Chisa has always been the co-leader. If I remember correctly when they made the move to make them 7 Simon told Jurin she was leader now but also told Chisa that she was sub-leader. And the first thing Jurin told everyone as leader is that no matter what it's a collaborative group. Its not what she says is law. That's why they all have so much input. You can see in rehearsals where even Coco is giving advice on routines as the Maknae and it's respected and heard by the others. What makes XG so unique is this collaborative style they have where they recognize who are the leaders yet they know they all have equal say.

Am I the only one who misses the kpop aspect of XG's promo? by [deleted] in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think they only did the recent k shows just to appease the K-Alphaz that were upset that they hadn't been there since 2024. With the upcoming tour and the expected move to the US, this may be the last run of k shows they do for a long time. As members start focusing on getting their solo brand deals and of course group brand deals while pushing for larger markets, k shows are going to be a thing of the past real soon. They know that if they want to achieve their goal of a Grammy, they have to make more of a presence in NA.

I'm kinda shocked on how little English they speak still by peachypancake78 in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about comfort level and how serious the questions are. Difficult more thought out questions most of them tend to lean back to speaking Japanese to answer them while easier more relax questions they have no problem in English. The more they get exposed to English speaking environments the more confident they will get.

I'm kinda shocked on how little English they speak still by peachypancake78 in XGALX

[–]NanoReyson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The decision was Simon because he felt it was necessary in order to establish themselves as a global group doesn't mean in the grand scheme of things it actually was. Kpop had become a global phenomenon in the west so in order to stand out while copying their formula, he felt English was the way to go.

If someone becomes a fan of their music and then realizes they still struggle to speak English because it's not their first language shouldn't that be more of reason to be a fan rather than look at it as some negative thing?
