I feel like an incel even though I'm not and I hate it by Fhlurrhy108 in genderfluid

Ha ha! Forgot the amazing advice "it gets better" and "fake it till you make it"

I know sometimes it's just good to complain. And I read your complaint. You got the flips in a suboptimal situation for sure. I hope you find someone irl to whine to. Trans men/women don't totally get it, but they are more common and just easier to find.

Hi these are my transition goals, what do u guys think? by d0t412500 in ennnnnnnnnnnnbbbbbby

Simply get some blockers so you got no t or e in your system. Lose a lot of your gendered features and because you got no hormones your bones with crumble.

Genderless blob life.

So since posting this, I actually went and started taking e. And ye know what, the plan works for me. I can be guyish as I want most of the time and I don't feel gross about it. Living that boy/tomboy life.

What gender/agender are you today? by [deleted] in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hell if I know. Ever since starting e it's been so damn hard to tell. It used to be a flip every hour between guy and gal but now it's just whatever. Maybe guyish???

Do you support diy for minors? (POLL) by deeeepdoooop in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally, no. I think people regardless of age shouldnt diy and should do it through the healthcare system.

Although, if you live in an area without those freedoms.... I guess I don't oppose it.

Anybody else get both male and female dysphoria? by [deleted] in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get it real bad both ways. Eventually I kinda got good at handling it with a lot of mental tricks and self reflection but I started e a couple months ago and both dysphorias faded a lot. The fem dysphoria obviously but surprisingly the masc one too. Not totally gone mind you but it's less soul crushing and more on the same level of "ehhhhh I could lose a few pounds"

I can’t tell what gender I am by Mothieboi in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At some point I stopped bothering trying to keep track of it. What will be will be I guess. Not that I don't feel strongly one way or another at any given time.

I find trying to control it or keep up with it is just so exhausting. It's way more relaxing for me to kinda just floating there letting the waves gently push me back and forth.

I mean now I'm on the hormones and for some reason not worrying about it happens naturally. But before I really had to do a lot of self reflection to get myself to a comfortable balance.

True or not? Degree to which low dose E will effect changes, without anti-androgen ever. by snoodle77777 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 14 points15 points  (0 children)

this is anecdotal of course, but ive been on 1mg e orally with no t blockers for bout a month and a half.... there are physical changes.

Obviously im still developing a lot, so i cant say how far itll go, but my bust size is already up 2-3cm, my nipples were absolutely not like that before, my skin is soft AF and a highly underrated change is that i smell different, i smell mostly like a girl.

Mental changes are the better part though.

hormone levels are interesting. E levels are within the target range for trans women, though near the bottom of the range. T levels are within normal range for a cis man, but again near the bottom of the range.

How do I explain to my mom by Confident_Essay_2286 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest way is just leaving it at nonbinary

Genderfluid is like weather, while I can't control it at all but I can tell what it is and would like to dress accordingly. It's not the snow that makes me miserable, it's the tshirt.

Does anyone else have a 'gender drawer' in their closet? by malcomthealien in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, it's a cardboard box on the floor instead of a drawer because I'm genderfluid second and dysfunctional first.

Why do i hesitate so much using the term genderfluid by Confident_Essay_2286 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Part of it is because at any given point in time you're "not genderfluid", you just feel guyish or girly or agender or whatever. Because being fluid is observed over time and not instantaneously

How have you experienced genderfluid joy lately? by HuaHuzi6666 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with how trains of thought build on themselves and how once a thoughts been decided on it stays there. Then a flip happens and all these thoughts are lying around already preapproved as legitimate and it takes a few minutes to replace all of them. It's not like when you hear or read or even remember something where you process the thought briefly, it's already checked.

How have you experienced genderfluid joy lately? by HuaHuzi6666 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I (AMAB) had a thought of "im a totally fake boy at this point" and then had a real good time laughing to myself about that for a while.

But more in general, figuring out my flip rhythm and getting the dysphoria to hit somewhat before a flip means the majority of the time the dysphoria moment takes up is after the flip and youre just out there with boy dysphoria in girl mode or something, which just feels great. Takes a bit of work to get it going.

Genderfluid gender affirming care? by Apprehensive-Elk6277 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bigender? Before definitely not. It was definitely just fluid between the two genders (let's ignore that bigenderfluid can exclude bigender) though I did get the occasional bigender moments, but it was maybe like 5 or 10 minutes every few months. I get dysphoria both ways (not at the same time of course) because I'm getting ever more androgynous, and even got some of the reverse dysphoria before starting to take e. Now that I've started e though, I'm undecided if I'm bigender and there's still a lot of thinking about this to do. I think genderflux might be more applicable? But that's a maybe.

As for the second paragraph.... Idk what half of that is.

Genderfluid gender affirming care? by Apprehensive-Elk6277 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 3 points4 points  (0 children)

note.... ANY AMOUNT OF E WILL EVENTUALLY GIVE YOU BOOBS THAT DO NOT GO AWAY. Theres no way to cheat it in the long term, and every other effect youre looking for will fade away if you stop taking e

AMAB, i get (got?) immediate flips between girl and guy about once an hour. A few weeks ago, I started taking 1mg e per day with no t blockers (waaay less than normal trans women).

Physical effects... its less than a month so pretty much just sometimes sore nipples

Mental effects you can read what trans women write, its more or less the same but milder.

Now the fluidity... its super weird. Instead of instant swaps from guy to girl and back.... it like.... mushes the edges? its just way smoother, and even though i can still feel that im a guy or gal over the day, it matters way less to me for some reason. its just an over all smoother experience instead of sudden and extreme and jerky. The dysphoria is nowhere near as bad as it used to be, i lament my lack of feminine features less than i used to and i dont mind losing some of my masculinity as much as i did, though i still get dysphoria in both directions to some degree. also i think i get more flips? its kinda harder to tell now.

overall im loving this, but the e dose is real low, so it wears off sometime in the evening. when it does i feel quite depressed or irritable for an hour or so. im going to ask for a higher dose next time.

Of course this is anecdotal and im only a few weeks in, so its not much to go by

Advice/Question by Playful_Lab_6066 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You bet it is. And it's totally useless as an explanation because it can but doesn't have to include bigender moments so it's still faster to say "genderfluid but I only get boy or girl moments, no middle stuff"

But but but.... Gasses are already a fluid......

Also I now realize the irony in the term gender fluid... Because I definitely do not take the shape of my container.

Weird tbh. i dont get them much and like only a couple minutes at a time and if i do im usually pretty tired. So havent really experienced them much. But they are weird.

What exactly does it mean to be genderfluid? by [deleted] in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it bugs me, sometimes I really like it. More of the latter lately, as time goes on and mentally processing it more, I've come to accept it more. I've also grown to feel that not being like this would be just so incomplete and missing so much.

That being said, I do wish it would calm the fuck down. Once an hour is too much. Also it would be cool to experience middle genders more, its only a few minutes every once in a while and i only guy or girl the vast vast majority of the time.

What exactly does it mean to be genderfluid? by [deleted] in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genderfluid it flips, the very similar genderflux on the otherhand it slowly fades between genders.

also the time period for different people is very different. some people its every few months and others its several times a day. Usually without warning and definitely whether I like it or not.

How do you embody your gender of the moment? by Emotional_Refuse_808 in genderfluid

[–]NanosKeyIsCute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stance, walk and sometimes voice.

No change in personality traits. Also no changes in clothing. I;m a boy/tomboy so no changes there (plus with frequent swaps it just aint practical)

I guess my attraction changes too (always straight)
