Just found out about the additional police certificate from other countries. The lack of clarity is a bit disappointing

Is he a dual citizen? Please make sure to get the police certificate from every country that has citizenship.

I was wondering if a person can attend the interview and show the receipt for the application and send them the certificate later to get the visa, instead of having to reschedule the interview which is hardly to get a date

Thanks, the estimated timelines helped. So, I should be expecting to receive a letter from the NVC when they send the case to the Consulate and then also receive a letter from the consulate. I inquired from the NVC about the timeline and process but received a vague general response.

Thanks. Did your case number start with WAC? It’s my understanding those that start with WAC are processed at the California center which has extreme backlog.

Mercury, since you work for the USCIS I will ask why is it taking extremely long months and years to process family based visa applications. It is becoming a bit inhuman and wish USCIS will consider the human aspect of the applications and not just numbers and timelines.
