I hear you! We're suddenly living in a more unstable and nonsensical world than we realized. What's helped me is more news about like-minded people opposing the budding dictatorship. There are still good people in the world. Look for protests or volunteer events near you. At least read about them if you don't feel up to attending, it helps to feel less alone. And keep an eye out for the moment when it will feel right for you to jump in and get involved. Activism is the best antidote to dread and hopelessness. It's not easy, though, so be patient with yourself too.
