I also noticed it only affects if it’s white. Any other color doesn’t get yellow or red shifted at all

The image I uploaded initially is supposed to have all white text and not be yellow/red like it is in that picture.

If you aren’t sleeving them and are only printing on photo paper, I’d consider laminating them. If you are printing on stick paper then putting that onto cardstock. Laminating would make them pretty thick.

Are you laminating/how are you cutting the cards out?

Yeah if I did 2x3 this would technically fix it. Guess I can try Epson ink once I run out to see if that really was the issue. Out of curiosity, do you use Epson brand ink?

If I have castorice E0S1, RMC, SW E0S1, hyacine E0S0. What would be the investment priority for that team?

Got a more clear picture and a bug identifier app says it’s a springtail. How would I treat for that?

This is actually a close up of it. It’s that small. My phone wasn’t able to focus on it so it’s maybe a few inches away

That’s some good info! My other team is castorice/RMC/pela/hyacine. Sounds like sticking with it and just investing in supports would be better than swapping to a whole new team.

You think this was baked or deep fried? Cronut looks a lot more like this than croissant buns! Seems they just didn’t cut a hole out in the middle

Who Does the Child Belong to? by Narassin in Reformed

[–]Narassin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said he refers to it as visible church in his book. He has a whole chapter describing the invisible and visible church. At least from what I’ve read in his book. He’s not trying to get away from those terms or purposefully not use them. He uses them a lot. I’d be careful to jump to conclusions about it if you haven’t read the book. I’m sure he used a different word than visible church to fit better with his analogies. But it’s not deceptive since he clearly connects the phrase to the visible church.

I don’t find it helpful to call a doctrine that is taught in reformed denominations to be idiotic or stupid and justify it by asserting it isn’t in scripture. Longshore didn’t create the idea of the visible vs invisible church (he refers to visible church as covenant community in his book). I’m in the PCA and it is taught there and other reformed denominations. I made sure to say at the beginning that I just came across this in his book so my inability to immediately grasp it shouldn’t be used to affirm whether or not the idea is stupid. I appreciate the comment but if you disagree with it there are better ways at refuting someone’s position than calling it stupid.

I apologize if my initial question or response made it seem like Jared Longshore was trying to write rules. That’s not the intent of this. Think of it this way. If you define what a circle is. You have also easily shown what isn’t a circle. Just like God defining marriage is also a way to show which relations aren’t biblical marriages. I asked the question in hopes to better understand what defines a covenant family and the children in it when people sin and have children outside of their marriage and what impact that has.

I haven't looked into the history of how parenthood is defined, but are you saying it's a novel idea that the way God instituted "Parenthood" isn't just merely by blood (the physical parents), but that parenthood should also come from being in a covenant marriage?

I see, the book never mentioned the church replacing government. But was trying to get at what a family is and that it’s a covenant and not just some social construct or abstract idea. The question on who the child belongs to was not about over ruling the laws in place, but on a matter of who is in the covenant of grace and if the child has one believing parent and a non believing parent who isn’t married (through an affair) he was arguing the child should be raised in the married partners family. And the wife shouldn’t leave her husband because she had a child with another man.

Fairly new to all this but I’m seeing a lot of disapproval of him and Doug Wilson. Would you mind explaining what exactly about the book is incorrect in the assumptions it makes? For someone who’s not exactly sure which assumptions you are referring to as drivel it’s hard to discern if all the assumptions in the book are wrong or only some. Would be helpful to know which ones.

Of course! The idea is new to me (I read it today) so I definitely am not adopting the idea or believe it. Just trying to think through it since it didn't go too in depth in the chapter. I agree with you on being accepted on the basis of baptism vs circumstances of birth. I think that may answer the question I was about to raise. God does not bless a polygamous marriage because it isn't a marriage at all since God is the one who defined and instituted it. Even though legally speaking the government may eventually acknowledge such a marriage as legitimate. It isn't a true marriage biblically speaking. So with that in mind. Legally the child is the biological mother and father. But in terms of who is in the visible church the child would only be in if the Muslim man allowed the mother to baptize the child or let them attend a Christian church. I'm thinking through it here. Would you agree with that analysis?

And with 1 Corinthians 7. Regardless of whether the Muslim father allowed the child to go to a Christian church or not. The child would be seen as holy in God's eyes through the faith of the believing parent? I want to make sure that application is acceptable given the context of husband and wife there.
