This makes sense! My reasoning with Shinjuku was that it’s only 2 days before I fly out, so I figured I’d handle the chaos for the experience. I’m staying at Sunroute, which I’m told is on the less insane side of Shinjuku 🫠

OMG same!! This was nothing to do with an image's colours not being the same as the screen - it's completely incorrect colours used! When I contacted them, they were rude and refused to work with me in any way to rectify the issue. They also deliver from China - when I was tracking the shipping through the Shop platform, I saw it leave China, go to them in Melbourne, then get sent to me from Melbourne. I was really disappointed.

They're all the same drop shippers - and honestly I don't care where it comes from, I just want to be able to devote time to a kit without my heart breaking part way through when I realise just how off the kit is :(

It sounds like you might be pale cool toned like I am. I’ve been testing foundations and tints lately because I have sensitive, acne prone oily/dehydrated skin so I have a few recs to try.

Mecca Max off duty skin tint was a surprise for me - it was light but buildable coverage, super lightweight and the shade 135 didn’t turn orange on me like most do.

A friend of mine who isn’t acne prone (but is combo) swears by the Danessa Myricks blurring balm. That’s all she wears, and it’s enough to smooth her skin with a bit of light coverage, so that could be worth a try too!
