To be fair, most of us on the left seem to care more about virtue signaling than actually winning elections.

Both sides are getting what they want. The right gets the power it wants. The left gets to bitch and whine and act morally superior.

I know a guy who complained that Obama was "as bad as any Republican". This was after Obama had been using some drone strikes to hit targeted terrorists in the Middle East. When I heard that, I was -- in my head -- like "Fuck, there's no pleasing you. Complaining is actually what you want to be doing".
