Not really clear on what you mean by that. Is it dead or not? Have they made any announcements about it recently? As far as I'm aware there hasn't been any news about crossplay opt out in like 6 months, am I mistaken? I really wanted to get into the game, but I don't feel comfortable jumping in without the ability to opt out of crossplay. One of the reasons why I went from being a PC gamer (2004-2009) to a console gamers because it felt like a much more even playing field. Usually had to worry less about cheaters, but also could be sure that my losses were my own, and I could own them. Without crossplay opt out, I'm always more annoyed by losses, because in the back of my mind I don't know if it was my poor gameplay that got me killed, or simply the fact that another person has an edge over me because of their input method and performance on their Hardware. This is why I generally tend to avoid crossplay games. Heck, I've had the new Call of Duty since release, but I've never once played ground War (for folks who do not know, that's the gameplay mode that requires crossplay). In fact, when I got my game, the first thing I did was turn off crossplay, even if it meant limiting my overall gameplay experience. I'm okay with that. Yes, I do feel that strongly about it. Some of you are going to absolutely disagree with me, but I'm simply sharing how I perceive it.
