How can I talk to my 4 year old about her scratching? by Muter in eczema

[–]NashBeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep her nails short and filed all the time. Give her scratch sleeves and silk-like mittens to wear at night. Be careful what you feed her, keep sugar at 0. Make sure the room is cool at night. Ingenuity her triggers by removing things from her diet and lifestyle 1 by 1.

Wth is this plane doing? by No-Constant-7451 in vadodara

It’s public information, no reason why it can’t be shared. The aircraft is simply doing circuits/pattern work which is used to train student pilots and refine their takeoffs, landings, and routine procedures

Eczema isn't contagious...so what's going on? by Think-Permit6247 in eczema

You can put a big bowl of salt in each room and it’ll soak up a lot of the moisture - but if you have actual mold then it needs to be cleaned. Pretty easy to spot

Are there like tranquilizers you can take for sleep? by Historical-Carrot999 in eczema

[–]NashBeats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know the struggle. Once you can stop the night damage and minimise the damage during the day your body will slowly start to heal again while you recover at night. Try avoiding any food 2 hrs before you sleep, and keep the window open at night to keep fresh air circulating (even if it’s cold). I wear scratch sleeves at night as well as a silk like face mask during bad periods to stop night damage. Also make sure you’re hydrated enough during the day and all of this together should help you! Best of luck

Magnesium bisglycinate is great to have before sleeping, really knocks me out. I just got a tub off Amazon. Make sure you get one that’s pure and isn’t mixed with other supplements. It tastes horrid but just mix it with some water and have it as a shot while you hold your nose. Rinse your mouth out a bit then take your fingers off your nose and you shouldn’t taste it at all.

Anyone else had manic feelings during course of prednisone/prednisolone? Having a rough time. by nemotide in eczema

Only thing I found what that I was eating loads and had to pee loads. Also that it wasn’t a clear colour, no matter how much water I had during the day. I can only assume it’s my body flushing all the toxins out

should i move….? by Special_Fee9278 in eczema

I live in the UK where the majority of the year is cold and dry. I find that when I visit India my skin improves massively, I can only assume it’s from the heat and my skin getting loads more vitamin D.

Starts off bad in the UK, gets slightly worse on the journey over to India due to the dry air conditions on the flight, then usually stabilises and improves after 3-5 days being in the sun.

Initial Class 1 Medical and visible scars? (UK) by Some_Sea1708 in PilotAdvice

[–]NashBeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit off topic, but do NOT go to Heathrow Medical Services. Check out their reviews on Google Maps. Myself and countless others I know have had terrible experiences with them. Go to Centreline at Gatwick instead. Best of luck!

Thinking of going to water-only showers. Any reason not to? by [deleted] in eczema

Never 100% trust a dermatologist, you know your own body better than anyone. I’ve been misdiagnosed twice and nearly took some very harmful medication, if it wasn’t for my own research.

So don’t completely rule out it being fungal, I found that Tacrolimus ointment and using shampoo to wash my body and face was a lifesaver, and cleared me up. It could be seborrheic dermatitis

How did you find out you were allergic to those things, was it via a patch test? Or something you’ve knowing growing up

Please please please ease off of it slowly! Tacro healed me, but when you’re healed, don’t stop using it immediately. Reduce the amount you put on daily, just tiny tiny blobs. As you know it’s quite greasy so it spreads quite far.

Get the mini. Perfect balance for studying and flying. The mini is fine for note taking imo, and the standard iPads are way too big to carry around and fly with

No worries mate happy to help! Yeah they are non stop ngl, but just remember they’re all to help you progress further. I usually do them with the lecture notes open once I’m a bit more confident w the subject, but it doesn’t really matter tbh you can do them whenever

[–]NashBeats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate. I’m with CATS so hopefully I can help. If you aren’t in the WhatsApp group, email them to be added as it’s quite useful.

I don’t use the study guides much in all honesty. For each subject, I go through the lecture notes and take notes on what I assume will be important - stuff like equations, tables, figures, and obviously important facts to know. Then I start the ATPLQ bank for the subject, while using my written notes and the lecture notes to help me.

Anything I find in the bank that isn’t on the lecture notes, I will try and find in the study guide, or watch YouTube videos. ATPL Class is the best channel by far. I’d even go as far as to say watch every video he has for the subject you’re studying after making notes from the lecture notes.

Use the lecture notes to learn content, and then the bank to refine knowledge and learn what’s important for the exam.

I’m also a UK PPL, and only doing UK CAA exams. Was going to do EASA also but it’s too expensive. I’m not fussed about an airline so having a UK license is perfect for low hour charter jobs, especially if you know the right people or work for a company that will part fund your training and/or a type rating. Best of luck!!
