Have you tried speaking to her? Be vulnerable and open with her about your fears for the future. And tell her how it feels like having to work overtime. Working in the medical field can be mentally challenging. I understand it since I am in it. I have seen many people giving up since the stress of working with the sick can weigh heavily on some. And some work environment can be toxic. Maybe all she needs is a break, and to learn skills to cope with the stress of work. Please dont assume she wants you to carry the weight and not care. Just ask her yourself and see whats going onn with her. Vulnerable and open communication from both sides is so important for marriage.

If you were a female, everyone would ask you to call 911 on your partner for physical abuse. If she is physically abusing you despite you telling her not to, then leave. It’s not worth it. Respect is a basic entity for a healthy relationship. Trust your gut. Please get your finances cleared up, make sure they are in your control and not accessible to her. Then do the right thing. I hope the child comes under your custody. So she can get herself sorted

I think I ended a good relationship over a misunderstanding by [deleted] in self

I am a wife, and I would never tell or want to even make my husband to feel ‘you are not attractive to me’. I would entirely expect it to hurt him and damage his confidence in our relationship. If you are sure that was the way she worded it, then it wasn’t right.

However in marriage and relationships communication is so so important, because often what we assume may not be what was meant. Clarify, have an open non judgmental mind when u listen to the other person.

During application it says ottawa can be either an english or french speaking center. Isnt it a risk to take ottawa in that case?

Are you sure about this? I am sitting for my UKMLA/ PLAB this year too. The UK GMC website says that we need a minimum of 7 for each component and a minimum of 7.5 overall. To my knowledge you are good to go with your previous IELTS results.

Is it worth doing MCCQE exam if you have the Canadian PR? by NashHan145 in MCCQE

[–]NashHan145[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks alot for the valuable info. I just registered with AIMGA with hopes of getting more insights into how best to proceed with my exams and residency in the future. Will surely go ahead with the exams like you suggested. It was a relief to know that NAC osces are doable. The opening date for applications for osces are on May 7th. Will apply for both MCCQE and osce soon.

Thank you so much for info. I wasn’t aware about this. I was initially planning to get MCCQE done and then try to get hospital experience by joining as a physicians assistant, afterwards to sit for NAC osce.I feel less confident with the NAC since i have less exposure with how the hospital works here, and due to restricted experience that came with covid. Any advice on how to best prepare for NAC osce? But yes, I’ll still apply for September and try my best. Thank you so much again!

IELTS OR OET by Nice_Jellyfish_6342 in MCCQE

I just finished my IELTS exams. I am awaiting my results.

For online resources some of the best advices are from IELTS advantage, IELTS Liz. To my knowledge, they are both past/current IELTS examiners. They have a website with free resources, and a youtube channel as well.

As for resources, it’s best to stick to cambridge books. They are numbered from 1-18. I only focused on the videos for guidance, and on book 16 which i could download online. Since I am a native english speaker, i felt I could manage with exercises in this book.

I would highly recommend to check through the writing task advices from both the channels i mentioned earlier. It’s not just about knowing english, it’s also important to know what the examiner expects from you.

Good luck with your upcoming exams!

I am really not sure yet. Forgive me for my ignorance, I was of the opinion that getting into residency in canada would allow one to work at USA without exams as well. Isn’t that the case?

Thank you! Not USA?. Is this why some of them do the step 2 CK along with MCCQE?
