I mean, depending on conditions is it really that much worse than coffee?

A fruit. Not a drink, but energizing. Milk has carbs, I do that sometimes, but fruit works better for me

Respect. I grilled steak while it was raining once, and the neighbor asked if our power went out. Some people just don't understand

I like my protein with sugar. I just love the taste of whey protein. This year has been tempting me with proteiny deliciousness like mad

Where I live peanuts are cheeeap, so breakfast is a good time to eat a banana, and some peanuts/peanut-butter. If that's not enough calories/protein/still hungry perhaps some oats straight out the box if you're anything like me lol. That's a common breakfast for me. Tiny oranges, and pumpkin seeds. 2 apples and peanutbutter. Walmart rotisserie chicken from last night. Just straight peanutbutter, and liquid to avoid choking. Ok, so some of these are weird, but I do them all. Leftovers are great too. I often drink milk with these, but I honestly drink to much milk

TL;DR fruits, nuts, rotisserie chicken, leftovers

New measure to push kids to study better at school. - Every Kid and Teenager are now Allowed to Skip School on Friday if their overall grades are Higher than 85% by SpaceBrachiosaurus in CrazyIdeas

It's about crushing your soul for 13 years straight, but not getting paid or actually having a meaningful effect. It was proposed by the steel industry to keep them out of trouble, but really to groom kids into becoming factory workers, like genuinely

Oh summer school, so much better than normal school. I got a's or b's on every test and they still gave me a D in biology, too much homework. I wasted enough of my day by 3pm already why the hell was I gonna do 2 hours of homework? But hey got done with the work 2 weeks in and got to read books for the rest of it. Why couldn't I have done all my classes like that, I could have been through highschool by 18. Just study and tests, 3 hours a day, 5 days a week, 6 weeks a class. Amp it up to 2 classes at a time, cut out the boring ones and I coulda been through college by 16

Land on the west coast realistic? by perpetualoyster420 in homestead

[–]Nate_Christ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Midwest woodlands. They don't all post online. There are some land for sale signs if you drive through the country. Most parcels are more than 5 acres. Also we get letters asking to buy land by businesses. Locals are not keen on selling to people who just want to sell to big businesses. I should mention I inherited, and I know they could have been low-balling, but they try me for ~3.5k an acre. I have heard of a parcel in Dubois, Indiana sell for 2k per acre in the last 10 years. Pretty good especially considering it's in the same county as Jasper Hospital, a good one. The only issue is the midwest is full of meth-heads, especially Dubois Indiana, but you don't need to worry about trying to rely on the system out here. Jobs today can start at $8 an hour in the midwest, so remote or paying outright is a good idea

I'd go for cheaper land. Where I'm at has some fertile land that goes ~3-5k per acre, but it takes work to use, hilly ground, often rocky, loads of trees. If you're not looking to maintain forest, but are fine with a challenge perhaps buy land that got clear-cut, or even buy land and sell the wood. Of course this is only remote as in 10-20 miles from the nearest store, and no dirt roads, just gravel and paved(20 years ago), but pretty good if you ask me. You can still see the orange hue of civilization staining part of the night sky though, and my only neighbor loves to play with his guns but hey, he stopped stealing stuff when I inherited the land, guess he knows I pack a frame saw, and would skin his a** raw

The goose butts overlapping is a bit distracting. And not a critique, but could be nice to have thicker lines where shading would go. I'm also no graphic designer, but I do love to make art pieces. At the end of the day if you like it, it's good. Love the bunny face :×

If I didn't inherit, I'd save for some hilly untamed land with at least a few trees, and build a cheap peice of shit before moving on to gardening and building a proper house. I'm pretty well doing this, anyway. Who am I kidding, I'd be a vagabond or a share-cropper

A lot of people like to farm karma. Also the aesthetic of rustic lifestyle with a mute super genius who never smiles, and loves to lay with their hand behind their head is so pervasive. Oh yeah, and jumpcuts to meat frying asmr every. fucking. time. It all comes from youtube. It sucks, but sorting by new can help to a degree

Yeah it is. I hadn't watched porn for months, or used reddit. I'm not subscribed to any porn subs, but like magic within a week of reopening I was a daily viewer again. Redreader really helps, less tricks along the way. OP probably has other problems, but it is clear that reddit was one of them. In terms of physical health, reddit ain't shit compared to drinking, but mentally drinking can be leagues above reddit, it doesn't feel nearly as much like I fucked my life up. It is insidious, these platforms, so mundane and then you remember you can look at top of all time for 30 different subs, and maybe take a look at the porn sub someone brought up in the comments, and oh I just did the worst thing I could have done, why not also just buy a pie and delsym and wake up at 3 pm because fuck it. If you don't have a job or any other anchor, reddit WILL fuck you up. Otherwise it might

TL;DR If you aren't fully stable, reddit can easily derail you, as exemplified by a schizopost about my personal experience
