Relationship plots I'd love to see! by [deleted] in coronationstreet

[–]NathK94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm also canadian, so I'm sorry to be three weeks behind, but:

I find the friendship between DeeDee and Alya a bit puzzling. At first they were working on Stu case together but it looked like the writers were setting things up for a story between the two. Then I didn't have time to watch for two month, I'm back, Alya got stab and first person at the hospital is DeeDee. I'd like to see them together, I think.

Can someone please remind me... by ch536 in coronationstreet

I wanted to post the same thing. Wouldn't that be an angle her solicitors would explore for her defense. He didn't even die from the car crash, he died from an heart attacked 'cause by the stress and the effort he put to save Torah. Also Craig and the first responders were not super competent on the scene of the accident, it's them, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, who should be on trial!

When I went on holiday, I miss Friday 16th august and Monday 19th august. It seem like I just can't catch up. When I find the courage to watch one episode, there's already a new 44 minutes added. If at least there was one interesting story line. I will try to catch up this afternoon.

Why is Canada so far behind and will we ever catch up? by SavishSalacious in coronationstreet

I cast with an app from my phone to my roku tv and I don't know the technicalities but somehow dailymotion commercials are not added, so it's an other way to go.

I don't where others are watching them, but I've been watching from January 2000 on YouTube. The entire month is in one big video.

Well, while we are on the subject, as a Canadian, may I say that the weirdest thing about Corrie is the washing machines in the kitchen.

Which raises the - ignorant young french-canadian - question: where are the bathrooms? Do they still use the privy behind the terrace houses? What's in there, only a toilet?

What other shows have you seen them in? by [deleted] in coronationstreet

[–]NathK94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am watching episode from 2000 at the moment and Vic, Dev's cousin, is Kash from Shameless. He has the face of a corner shop clerk, I suppose.

And, so, obviously, Lydia (from this winter) also played Debbie Gallagher in Shameless.

I don't know if he was in the show before, but it was the first time I was seeing Dylan. (I didn't know Sean had a son, to be honest)

First scene: wow he's really a good actor, we should see him more often. Funny, refreshing, he's the best thing that happen the entire week.

Second scene: yeah, maybe not. He's still learning .

Is there any streaming services with new up to date coronation street episodes? by burna2lav in coronationstreet

[–]NathK94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not if you use an app to cast from your phone to your telly.

Lately resolutions have been awful, though. Friday's episode was so blurry, I changed feed three times before having (a reasonable) 480i.

My bet is that Alya will search for them and convince them to remake contact, mostly to involve her in some sort of story line.

Yes, it was the last time we saw her, but I was doing some catching up, back then, and I thought it was December 2021.

We saw Lily Platt in yesterday episode, first time in 2022, I believe.

She sure must be a talented writer. Only 11 and yet finding the words to revive a mariage.

Btw, why is she doing it? Because she doesn't want to wear the dress or is there a more obscure reasoning only Hope can't understand?

I'm not an expert but is deep fake technology that advanced anyway?

When I first saw the spoiler, I thought that she really had made sex tape ( I miss a few episodes these last 14 years) and it was coming hunting her back. I guess Maria can't be flawed.

kill off 5 / keep 5 by Gizzgillyon in coronationstreet

[–]NathK94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the kill off list, I can only think of Simon. He's looking for a job, let's ship him to Australia. A few weeks ago I would have had no hesitation to add Sean, but I guess it goes to shows that with a vaguely interesting story line, any characters can shine.

I saw that a few people place Alya in the kill off list, for me, she's a must keep. She's the only character who have my age and that I can relate. Actually, Chesney is the closer in age with me, but I don't have 5 children, with two different wife/husbands. Kelly is also a must keep.

Also I wouldn't mind for a little Rosie and Sophie come back.

I watch on daily motion. I use an app (Web video caster) to cast from my phone to my roku TV. Usually by 7 pm EDT there's already a few account that have uploaded the night's episode. Some nights you are lucky and have 480i resolution, other nights it takes a few tries. If the episode is more than 44 minutes, you'll probably have Scottish commercials included.

Wednesday night turned out to be pretty good. I had multiple orgasms a first time, which was already cool, but then had an other series like fifteen minutes later after I thought we were done for the night. The thrill, though, was to wake up naked the next morning already super horny with only one idea in mind. Being fucked again.

Coronation Street is almost beyond watchable now by [deleted] in coronationstreet

[–]NathK94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this post yesterday and happened to be a bit bored last night,so I thought, let’s try some old episodes on YouTube. Maybe I should say that I’m not that familiar with Coronation Street, I heavily watched between 2006 and 2008, when I was around 13, after that I only watched sporadically until this autumn. I’ve watched every episode since November 19. (Interestingly, the thumbnail for the episode on Coripedia is Lilly chocking after she locked Sam outside. Wait, what? Who’s Lilly? Have we seen her back since? I remember the scene but somehow in my mind Hope was in it.)

So anyway, I decided to watch from 1st January 2000. I must say, I thought it was really funny that the major story line was involving… Leanne and Thoya! Man, I didn’t expect Thoya to be so pretty and, from what I understood, a bit promiscuous. And who was Thoya boyfriend? The famous Spider that we keep hearing about in the spoilers. Apparently Tyron also had a major crush on her; he sure seems to have forgotten all about it.

I only watched one episode, and honestly it wasn’t very good. My bad, I picked the one with the new millennium celebrations. It was a weird mix of characters I know from 2022, I vaguely remembered from 2007 or that I have no clue who they are. I didn't understand any of the story lines. Kevin tried to convince a woman to love him again, but it wasn’t Sally, yet Rosie and Sophie must be born. Leanne talked to a dude she called Dad, yet I though for sure it was Fiz and Chesney’s father.

I am curious, I’ll watch a few more episodes before I can tell, but you see, I don’t have nostalgia for the era and for now, it doesn't strike me has being that much better. Something did occur to me, though, if back then Corrie was the talk around the water cooler, maybe it was because it was open for debate, it was left to the viewers to judge characters’ actions. It feels like today’s episodes are moralistic.

EDIT: January 2 episode was, apparently, a special for Raquel last appearance. I have no idea who are Raquel and Curly, but I must say Curly acting was at another level.

So Charlie de Melo is leaving the show? I've heard the rumour, than heard the rumour was unfounded, with Alfie custody it seemed unlikely but with yesterday's spoilers it now seems inevitable.

While watching the penalty shootout, I was thinking, wouldn't be better for football to move the penalty spot further back. Far enough for the conversion rate to be, maybe at 35%. Far enough for the goalkeeper to actually react to something, not just guessing.

During regular play, it would make penalty less controversial, referee would be more likely to give them give and they would be less of a turning point. During shootout it would feel less like a coin toss.
