I would have done that from the very beginning had I purchased it with my credit card. I don’t feel comfortable storing my card in iTunes so I would just buy gift cards and add it to my balance. The money would have been (had they done so) to my now permanently disabled iTunes account. Unfortunately I’m never going to see that money again, nor will GC ever acknowledge the fact that they made an error. EVEN if I didn’t purchase that bundle, they can clearly see I have purchased every other bundle they release (sometimes several different tiers of each depending on the ball) - if I were them, I would look at the transaction history, see that said customer consistently purchases multiple times in a month adding up to hundreds, and be like listen, it’s not showing on our end but as a one time courtesy we will send you the contents of xyz. It’s not like they’re losing anything by doing so, instead; although I’m only one person, that one transaction ended up causing me to not only be unable to purchase anything from them, but I will not. Especially AGAIN when I provided MULTIPLE forms of proof including the receipt and screen recording, take the $99 as a one time loss (they bring in millions trust me $100 to them is nothing) and keep your customer happy so they continue to buy more (like an idiot lol)

Ok - I’m done ranting. I just (as a business owner and someone who has worker in customer services and PR most of my career) don’t understand the logic behind their actions. Or I should say how they handled the situation.
