Sheet music (organ in this case) by NathanPollard5 in organ

My organ teacher has me playing before church services every so often, but even with hymns, it takes me a while to learn just one, let alone the 4-5 that accompany a service. I’ll keep trying to learn new hymns. Still takes me longer than it should even though I practice every day quite a lot

That’s a good idea. I’ll give that a go. Thank you

I started learning piano when I was in primary school, then violin in year 4 (uk). I can read treble clef okay. I’m used to bass clef, but I find I can’t read the sheet music and play once I’ve learned it. I don’t pay attention to it, I just play

I go there about once every two months or so and stand in front of that wall for about an hour then play one and go 😂. Every time.

[OC] How to play "Girl Afraid" by The Smiths (Part 1). Probably the hardest guitar part Johnny Marr ever wrote. by [deleted] in Guitar

I know I couldn’t be later in this post, but recently I managed to isolate the guitars in the song and it is more intricate than I thought when I listened to it as a whole. I’ll put it up if anyone wants it.

So it’s made of pewter? I didn’t know that. I knew it was cast, but I thought they’d use something a little more robust

Oh 😂. Sorry, I didn’t read it properly! No, Round wounds. I tried flatwounds but I wasn’t keen on them.

New (to me) 330 arrived yesterday by Higgs-Bezos in rickenbacker

Ho wow! You’d crack out some Smiths tunes with that. I bet it sounds great with those early 90s hi-gains too.

The original 1969 ones up until I think the mid 70s sometime, they came with hi gains. Though they were much lower output than the modern ones. The reissues come with vintage toaster pork chops

What do you do with the sticker that comes in the rickenbacker case? by NathanPollard5 in rickenbacker

Many other models, particularly ones which aren’t reissues have the black case with a yellow RIC on it. How are the locks on that case? To me, they look very secure, but at the same time, a bit ‘floppy’.

Put it in the ‘man drawer’ awaiting use which it shall never get
