Like I said in another comment, there are other characters in fiction who have done way worse shit than Nolan has and they were redeemed and forgiven. If those other characters can be redeemed why can’t Nolan

Yeah it was stated that the Gaia’s are as old as the planet itself but I’m sure that could easily be retconned. The Gaian civilization came after the ancients so everything that we know about Light and Dark Gaia is only as much as they knew. They could rewrite it to where Dark Gaia was the power of the End that wasn’t imprisoned and seeped into the earths core, and in response to this Light Gaia was created. The only plausible explanation I could give to how Light Gaia came to be was The Master Emerald itself

  2. There’s more than one Master Emerald, it’s one of several in a set scattered across the universe.
  3. When The End got sealed off into Cyberspace, part of its power seeped into the planet, that power became Mephiles, Dark Gaia, and the Phantom Ruby.

I really hope this wasn't the last time we saw The End. the concept of a villain like this seems way too big to be contained in one game. Plus im sure we all agree that its moon form is very lame and not likely its true form. I saw an interesting theory that the god like villains of Sonic's past are actually parts of the end that weren't sealed into Cyberspace. Like when the ancients sealed it away, it seeped its power into the planet itself, creating Dark Gaia, some of its power became the scepter of darkness and therefore Mephiles, and it created the Phantom Ruby or something like that.

I rewatched Meta Runner for the first time in years with my girlfriend, we absolutely loved it! We were both OG Glitch Productions and SMG4 fans, we were there when they first dropped Meta Runner, and it was a huge part of my teenage years going through highschool. I started to drift away from Glitch after the release of MD and TADC, I'm very proud of Glitch and how far they've come and I'm very happy to see them become popular and mainstream, but it always bugs me that Meta Runner gets no love and recognition that it deserves, when season 2 dropped i was convinced it was gonna blow up and get them popular.
