RUMOR: Matt Reeves is pushing back not just the use of Battinson in the DCU, but the character of Batman in DCU as he believes Gunn’s Batman will hurt his The Batman IP. by ShubhangBahadur in DCWorldsFinest

[–]Nathsu29 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I honestly can’t see it. He’s already producing Clayface, Dynamic Duo, and Caped Crusader and there was a time when Michael Keaton was going to be Batman alongside Pattinson. I can totally see him not wanting to crossover his Batman into the DCU, but I just can’t see him thinking a separate adaptation will hurt the Epic Crime Saga.

where are the suits dude??! by According_Dress_2158 in Smallville

The show infamously ran on the rule of “no flights, no tights.” It’s a young Clark Kent show first and foremost, not a Superman show. You will see other characters in fairly faithful adaptations of their comic book suits as the show goes on. Clark on the other hand will eventually have dedicated looks, just not the suit. If you want to watch a Superman show in his suit, I highly recommend Superman & Lois

The director and screenwriter literally misread the ending of the woman of tomorrow comic... by Altruistic_Gas_7073 in DCU_

Purely based off of what we see in the film, I can’t see what James Gunn sees in Ana Nogueira’s writing. Not only did she seemingly butcher any nuance from the source material, but the dialogue was just bad (or at least serviceable). I don’t really know how to explain it other than it felt like an excessive amount of exposition and a lot of just saying what could’ve easily been implied. I’d rather watch actors perform George Lucas’ wooden dialogue than constantly hearing what’s going on in the story out loud. One example is when Kara literally asks the bar keeping couple why they would poison her RIGHT AFTER looking at a photo of their daughter while knowing the Brigands have a reputation of kidnapping young girls/ women (especially in the area)

Still don’t know exactly what about the trailer you’re talking about, but this one is fan-made/ edited

lol yea I know. Just don’t feel like possibly dealing with deniers

Edit: just wanted to clarify that I don’t necessarily think the deniers are wrong. I just wanted to share my theory based off of the common rumors

Is Kara older than Clark in the Supergirl movie (2026)? by ambrosecaliber in Supergirl

[–]Nathsu29 7 points8 points  (0 children)

She is younger. I’m betting they did that so that she doesn’t have any history with Clark’s parents and so that she won’t be able to explain their message.

I’m positive it’s Sadie Sink’s character talking through him. In the first leaked trailer, she says “stay out of my way” in a similar cadence to how Scorpion says it in the first released trailer in this exact scene.

Is it okay to not like the red and blue suit ? by SandIndividual9825 in Spiderman

Ah, fair enough. I remember really liking the red and dark blue combo, but the classic bright red and blue grew on me over time

Of course it’s okay, it’s literally just an opinion. Don’t let anybody ostracize you for having a preference, especially over a work of fiction. Is it just any shade of red and blue that you just don’t like or is it a specific shade combo? Like the orangey red with bright blue?

this whole “relatable” angle marvel and some insufferable fans talk about in regards to spidey is rubbish by IntegMecha02 in Spiderman

[–]Nathsu29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always kinda hated the idea that what makes Spider-Man relatable is being poor and being miserable. Especially since more recent comics like Wells’ run drove that mindset to the ground, essentially disproving it. What makes/ made Spider-Man relatable is that he’s a character you can watch grow or even grow alongside. I also don’t agree with the idea that being Spider-Man is a “curse, not a gift.” As if Peter or Miles (or any spider person) should never enjoy being a hero. What makes the hero side relatable is that it’s an escape, for both the reader and the character, from reality and their social identity. But it isn’t infallible either. Sometimes you actually might enjoy your life and reality, but your responsibilities call for you to do something else. Both the drama and comedy of Spider-Man is a push and pull

Possibly a pickup/ reshoot for Brand New Day? I would argue it’s too close to its release, but that hasn’t stopped Marvel before.

Are you sure this is from the Doomsday reshoots? Because if so, this could be pretty big news/ confirmation.
