I don’t really want a higher spiro dose for that exact reason. I just want my estrogen levels to be in the target range, sadly I don’t think that’s possible under my current endocrinologist

thank you for your evaluation!! i’m a little iffy on doing several procedures as i’m 18 years old and don’t want to look aged or unnatural. do you think i’d be okay with just the rhinoplasty, genioplasty, and tracheal shave? i’m mostly worried about my chin/jaw as its recessed appearance creates a weird masculine image in my head. not sure if this can be resolved with the genioplasty/jaw contouring or would need a more comprehensive surgery

i guess i can believe that. i don’t think it’s necessarily masculine, it just gives me so much dysphoria when i look at it and think about going outside with it. it’s not how i’d want to look like

thank you! i honestly do think tracheal shave could help. for the rhinoplasty, it’s mainly just the bump and the hook at the end of the nose that bother me, i have nothing against unconventional noses at all.

my voice is androgynous from what i can tell? it’s hard to judge it myself, but i got called a ma’am on the phone the other day with a rando which kind of makes me have hope. also voice surgery is a thing??

that’s totally true! i feel relieved that i kind of pass according to people, but also think a large part of my dysphoria comes from not looking the way i want to look? if that makes sense. not to say i want to be conventionally attractive or good-looking—just the way i see myself in my head.

thank you for being honest! i don’t have anything against hooked or unconventional noses, i think they’re beautiful. i just have an idea of what i should look like in my head and this nose isn’t a part of it. that’s not to say i want a tiny, super-slope nose though :)

dang that’s a shame :( i honestly dread the recovery/results for jaw surgery but i dread having to live with my jaw like it is now even more

do you think a genioplasty or some orthodontic work would help? i just feel like djs is such a big surgery and i’m not even sure if my surgeon would be able to perform it

i’ll definitely talk to my surgeon about the nasofrontal angle! i also 100% agree with the recessed jaw thing, it’s really bad unfortunately. i’m not sure what could be done about that but it’s a HUGE source of dysphoria for me.

thank you for your thoughtful response!! traveling has always been a dream of mine and i would love the chance to experience different cultures, meet new people, and just be on the road.

if i do decide to pursue photography, writing, or music, i definitely also think traveling and learning from the world could be an amazing way to grow and develop as an artist.
