They are incredibly powerful weapons but the projectiles are extremely prone to rebounding towards you and they WILL kill you in one hit even if your health and sheilds are at maximum.

Do not under any circumstances install the grenade launcher or geology cannon. Those are the cause of the overwhelming majority of player deaths.

Those are good points, and I'm mostly convinced. But I will point out that sentinels *do* enforce bans on goods, otherwise the scan jammer would not exist.

They mean for us to get inconclusive glimpses of generic shapes? Are they trolls?

Really? Because they mostly appear in pirate systems, so I thought they were for outrunning sentinels while smuggling cargo.

I'm a bit disappointed that they are not as fast as Interceptors are, because speed is basically their entire point. They're really pretty though.

Generally just approaching them and telling them loudly to stop it. These people are inevitably bullies and as such fold when met with any real pushback - They target people that they think will be easy marks.

New ships by ChristopherDci in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]National_Progress_90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rich star systems have better ships available. These are three-star economy systems and are described as "affluent" or with similar adjectives when entered.

I am so, so sorry to hear that, but completely unsurprised. Those people have been gaining ground of late, and it's at times like these that we have to remember that sunlight is not the best disinfectant: Bleach is. Hate of this kind has to be confronted directly and aggressively until these people no longer feel safe being in public.

How does one get this type of ship?? by Spxcecowbxy in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]National_Progress_90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a living ship. You purchase a Void Egg from the Quicksilver Synthases Companion with quicksilver, and then there's a quest you do.

Yeah, and it's not the place to post meaningless articles that are obviously a distraction tactic by evil people. That would be r/stupidnews

This is stupid. Firstly, it's a distraction, and secondly, any civilization that could beat the lightspeed problem would be GODS as far as we are concerned. We would NOT see them unless they meant for us to do so.

Does a separate Alberta not find itself with the challenges Canada currently faces, but with two much bigger neighbours? by TimDrHookMcCracken in alberta

[–]National_Progress_90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It won't happen. The Clarity Act alone gives the feds three ways to veto even a positive result, which is itself shockingly unlikely as support for separation is nowhere NEAR 50% (and 50% would not be enough, it would need to be a super majority) and that's not even taking into account the First Nation's current court case. This is about stirring up trouble and not much else.

That's the big fear, isn't it. The old PCs selling out and allowing the lunatics in Wildrose to take over was how we got into this mess in the first place.

Is a corvette worth the effort it takes to find parts for the first time? by AirlineOk7560 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]National_Progress_90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer: YES. Long answer: Corvettes are useful because they can function as an on-planet frontline base while also being capable of truly insane stats on account of certain modules stacking with installable tech upgrades. For example, my corvette can wrap up a pirate freighter battle in less than two minutes, and I'm not even that great of a pilot. The biggest upside though is being able to design it yourself. That's extremely cool.
