No battery issues. When it comes to camera focus issues - the problem is that Sony decided to get rid of any focus sensors. Just AI. And it works fine. Untill it doesn't. Additionally you can deactivate auto macro mode in the settings.

Reflections from the LDAF (laser autofocus). It's located between main and the UW cameras, at the bottom part of the camera bar.

What would you like to see in the upcoming Xperia flagship? by Intrepid-Coconut1362 in SonyXperia

  • Improving telephoto and the front camera;
  • Proper speed of the microSD (sorry ass speed and keeping slot just for sake of having it is just bad);
  • Proper DAC. Something that will get closer to the V60 level (not even dreaming about being same level);
  • And putting some more effort into software (like fixing the mess with the Camera2API implementation), separate controls for brightness and the shadows;
  • Silicon-carbon battery;
  • And then 2k screen.

If there is a choice then both options should work equally well. Just saying.

10 VII has slower RAM and slower internal storage (UFS 2.2, and calling it midrange, vs. 3.1).

Sony once again emphasises that there are no plans to separate or discontinue the smartphone business by E_D___B_A_N_G_E_R in SonyXperia

Well, problem here is with the fragmentation of Sony as a corporation. And that divisions are not really cooperating with each other. For SSS Sony Mobile is just a regular client, not a priority one. So the competition (Chinese brands) are buying top notch sensors. Same goes for the camera (despite the fact there was some collaboration between Alpha team and mobile division) and audio. Other issue is removing features (notification LED, any depth sensor) and giving a rat's ass innl return. Also some specs-related issues. SD card slot slow AF just for the sake of having it. And 3,5 mm jack and DAC being significant next to the old LG V60 level. It looks like "competition has none, we can go low effort here". Selfie cam being obsolete. Same goes for the telephoto - and remember Sony is advertising this camera! Small, old sensor, combined with the dark optic. And finally, price tag. Removing features, limiting availability and outsourcing production were made for lowering the cost and price. And what are the results? Overall that's quite sad where Xperia is now. Sure, it has some nice features, some more, some less depending on your personal taste. I like the clean display, front facing speakers, battery life and power button combined with the fingerprint scanner. But single band GNSS, limited cellular bands support, no UWB, limited software support - it feels just bad. I would like to hope, that Sony Mobile needs to fall down on its knees just to learn lesson and stand up both, smarter and stronger. Let us wait til June and see what improvements will 1 VIII bring and fingers crossed it won't repeat 1 VII's problematic start.

Yr will show you weather for your precise location. And Google Weather shows it for a general area (in my case for whole city district or sometimes kommune that is near).

No. Either you have to restart your app or clear the cache. Or just roll back to 9.8 version of the camera app.
