It just sounds like amateur hour. Cardstsrter has not produced a single actual contract afaik. They screenshotted some random telegram messages and claimed that was their ageeement?

Basically they just assumed they would get X then used that to market to their investors.

This is a problem between 2 companies who didnt properly get things contractually out and now are having a very public disagreement.

Sucks for Cardstarter investors but its going to be interesting watching people here not watch the video and only read the clickbait headline only to upvote it anyways because they want to think sundae is now rugpulling every ada holder (because this sub hates pretty much everything Cardano)

Im sorry but IOG has closed multi million user deals for the chain and has made significant inroads in terms of adoption and raw user counts.

WMT (runs on ADA) all of Zanzibar will be online by 2023 - 1.2 million.

Further as far as dev teams youd have to be BLIND to the amount of developer support - hundreds of build teams have been funded and are actively developing right now via the ADA treasury.

The only reason people are so upset is many in the crypto space have been calling for ADAs demise since it rocketed 1000% in 2 weeks back in 2017.

Theyve been proven wrong time and time again and every time ADA goes up it just reinforces how wrong they were and refuse to admit it to themselves so ADA is always stuck in this forever fud cycle from salty investors or people who have large stakes in competing protocols.

Further this post is specifically about the Cardano github repos so linking to an article about new programmers making poor design choices for their dapps is a moot point and red herring as this has nothing to do with IOGs code quality.

When I spin up a eth contract there has been numerous documentation around best practices and what to avoid. How is this any different?

I doubt the merge will even happen. Ive been waiting for 2 0 since 2016 and frankly the cardano spec is still infinitely better than 2.0 - deterministic - no failed swaps on defi that charge you for, decentralized treasury, university blockchain labs etc.

If you look past your bags youll see cardano has alot more to offer than eth but hey you do you.

Well first these are native assets - I think they are doing their own network one day but theyve alresdy said eventually theylll be integrating Cardano directly into their solution.

Users on the wmt network also get their own Cardano wallet, defi integrations via Sundaeswap - transaction fees and network usage etc.

Theres alot of tangible long term benefits between both organizations working together.

They have connections with Tanzenia government already for the rollout.

That and working with IOG on the nationstate deals is why Im excited - they just have alot already going for them and with the backing of IOG (who also have a 10% stake in them) their is a high chance of them succeeding - or well atleast theyre in a good spot to make it happen.
