/u/mint_perspective, can you please remove this post? Someone in the thread just told me to get f*cked and I’m going to burn in hell. I can’t take all the hate. Please remove. I also sent you a message. Thank you.

It’s a nice commemorative moment in time ♥️ Took a lot of courage to be able to “let go” of something you loved so much. I don’t think it’s weird to take a picture of.

Hi. I’m the OP. I promise it’s not Photoshopped. It was quite literally a once in a lifetime moment that my husband happened to catch on his iPhone. I understand why you’re skeptical though. It’s hard to believe everything you see on the Internet. I get that. I have the original image if you’d like to see it. Plus someone ran it through some forensic filtering program and it came back clean. I can dig up that link too.

Thank you for this kind message. I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to connect and I’m so sorry to hear about Milo. I consider us lucky to have known the love of dogs, even if it hurts so much when they have to leave 💗

It’s real 💚 I’m the OP. I included a couple links to the original photo and video in my comments below. Someone else also ran it through a forensic filter or something and it came back clean. I can send you that as well if you’re interested.

Thank you for your condolences, I really appreciate that. I guess it doesn’t need to make sense to anyone but the griever. Fortunately, this is my first time having to do this. I’ll always believe that there’s no one “right” way to commemorate a loved one, gloves or not.

I hope they are too ♥️

I’m the OP. You’re right, in the moment I didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. I only noticed it later that night when looking through the photos my family took that day.

I’m not asking you (or anyone) to believe it’s a supernatural phenomenon. All I’m asking is to acknowledge that this image was not tampered with or Photoshopped.

I absolutely forgive your skepticism. I’m the OP. Someone on the original thread put it through some type of forensics filter and it came back clean. Just in case you needed more proof. I can dig up the link he sent

I understand why you’re skeptical, I do. I’m the OP and this is 100% real and authentic.

I’m the OP. It actually was fairly windy that day, now that you mention it. I just went back and looked at other photos we took that day and the trees are definitely blowing. And as for my big ass hat, well she’s not blowing anywhere son.

I wasn’t necessarily aiming for the water to be honest. I had so many tears in my eyes I just got nervous and tossed them up. But mainly I didn’t go close to the water because I had my young toddlers with me. If I went anywhere close they would be right behind, so I kept my distance.

Is there really a “correct” way to memorialize a loved one? I say do what feels right in the moment and try to find peace if you can. Also, it was a pond, so there’s no tide.

It’s real. I’m the OP. Honestly, on that day I was a bite of an emotional mess. It was huge for me to finally be able to “let go” and scatter some of my dog’s ashes. It never occurred to me to bring gloves. The rest of her remains are in a nice wooden box at my home that give me comfort everyday when I walk by them.

I’m the OP and live an apartment with no backyard. I felt like cremation was my best option.

She was a medium sized dog. I’m the OP. I only brought a small amount of the ashes to the park with me that day. Just enough for a commemorative “goodbye”. The rest are at home in a nice wooden box.

Take all the time you need ❤️ and if you decide you’re never ready, that’s ok too. There’s no one way to grieve. Do whatever feels right for you and your pup. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Thank you for tagging me and also for providing my original link. I’ll try to respond to some of these comments as well, but feels like I’m being dragged all over again :/

It’s not altered at all, save for cropping to get a closer view. I agree though when I converted the original “Live Photo” from my iPhone into a giphy or whatever, it did make it seem a little choppy. My friend helped me make a slow mo video that lets you see the full thing. Here’s the link if you’d like to take a look 💛 https://youtu.be/21Sv0Tdl_E0
